    These guys tow your cars. They don’t tell the police they did it. They stole our uhaul parked with all our stuff. Our HOA said it was uncalled for. We called the police and these people lied to the police. So we will not let this company to take cars and try get side cash or make a quick buck. Look online this is a known scam by this company. It will be my mission to make sure every community who uses them, fires them. I will make sure these guys scam no one else again.

    I want to share my unfortunate experience with Action Towing & Recovery of Sarasota, which resulted in the loss of my wallet and its contents. My name is ******* *, and my mobile number is (***) *** - ****. On July 1, 2024, my 2019 ***** ***** ** was towed from the ********* Siesta Key shopping center's parking lot to this tow company's facility at **** ******** ******, Sarasota, FL ****** A letter on July 11, 2024, confirming the repossession at the request of GTE Financial. My stepson, ***** *, faced significant personal and financial losses, prompting me to cease making payments on my car and other bills in February 2024. I had arranged a voluntary repossession with *** Financial Credit Union, scheduled for July 30, 2024, but the vehicle was towed the following day. My wallet, containing various IDs and bank cards, was left in the vehicle's center console. On July 10, 2024, I made an appointment for July 19, 2024, to retrieve my belongings from the vehicle. I informed them that my wallet was in the center console. Upon arriving at the facility, my personal artifacts were all present except my wallet, but the car had already gone to auction. Due to my distress, I paid an $80 cash fee without requesting a receipt. Later that day, I attempted to contact Action Towing three times for a receipt. An answering machine answered the first and third calls, but the second call was disconnected. When I finally reached an employee, I was told that a text message confirming my appointment served as my receipt. The text read: "Action Tow...Property Appt CONFIRMED **** ******** ***, Sarasota, FL ***** 7/19 2:00 PM Must bring keys and photo ID. Your fee is $80.00 cash exact change / ******." I believe I am a victim of theft. I was not provided an itemized receipt, and a bank notice confirmed unauthorized transactions, which added to my suspicions. My experience serves as a warning to others and prompts Action Towing & Recovery to improve their practices.
