      I’m leaving a zero star
      They blamed me for a cracked windshield charged my card without notification then over a month later tried to collect again with 300.00 more added to the bill.
      They are unorganized, undertrained, and deceitful.
      DO NOT RENT A CAR FROM THEM!!!

      Terrible service at Logan airport in Boston. They had one person working at a counter with about eight empty stations, while more than a dozen people languished in line. Then we proceeded to the Hertz president's circle, where we are supposed to choose our own car from a mostly empty lot while "competing" against other customers to grab a car before they were all gone. We had reserved a mid-size SUV and it was totally unclear which of the
      cars in the area were of that category. Lastly, we found that the center seat belt in the back seat of our car was broken - a serious safety hazard.

      Registered online for a Tesla and when we came to picked it up they claimed that they “forgot about our reservation” and the service member we worked with didn’t even know what he was supposed to be doing.

      I am trying to book a rental, I have a few questions. They have a better rate than enterprise, however no one answers the phone. It’s so frustrating, why give them business and you can’t get your questions answered. I guess I have my answer, don’t book with them.

      This was by far the worst customer service experience I’ve ever had. I arrived at 8:00 AM for my reservation and ended up waiting nearly two hours for a rental vehicle. Just 30 minutes after driving off, the car began making strange noises. I returned it immediately and had to wait another hour.
      I informed the representative—whose name I believe was Frank, a man of African descent—about the issue and asked to speak with a manager. He claimed he was the manager and responded in an extremely rude and unapologetic manner. He showed no remorse and became aggressive, even telling me I could just leave and return the vehicle if I had a problem.
      This location is completely unprofessional, lacks basic customer service skills, and clearly struggles with respectful communication. I would never recommend this place to anyone.

      Overcharged for a chipped window that occurred in returning the vehicle. $991.64 and 515.00 for 4 days given a total of 1506.64. This is unacceptable. 0 stars, I’ll never rent from Hertz or Thrifty again . A chipped window does not cost this much.

      will never rent from Hertz again. We just found weed and other related paraphernalia in our rental car. They put our livelihood in jeopardy. All they offered to put a note in our file. The most appropriate thing would be to come to us and replace our car, as well as comp this rental. unacceptable

      We purchased the traveler’s insurance through Cheapo Air. We hit a deer with the rental car and called Hertz immediately when it happened. Long story short- We had to pay $500 out of pocket for an “administrative fee.” I believe this was excessive and for what-to get a repair estimate, which last time I checked, was free. We asked them to send us what we signed saying we would be responsible for this. The word fee was hidden in the fine print but no amount. When we picked up the car, we were not given paperwork but had to scan it. You should receive a paper copy and amounts should be in the contract. I called Hertz customer service and they only responded to me when I emailed them and then pushed me off to ESIS. Hertz at the Cleveland Airport is terrible. They don’t answer the phone and when I mentioned that when I got there, the girl laughed and said that’s the manager’s job. So sick of lack of customer service in this country. The person handling the insurance claim hounded us to pay the entire amount prior to the insurance paying for it. Still not clear what costs $500. This is EXCESSIVE. The information we asked to get from him and customer service was never received.

      I reserved a rental at Hertz for 6/18 @ 9 am. When I arrived to pick up my rental, I was told. "I have no cars available", not sure why customers wouldn't be contacted prior if that's the case. Nonetheless, this rental was reserved weeks in advance. After explaining that to the counter manager. I was told the same thing. I then explained to her that I had an important graduation to attend and needed a vehicle. After about 20 minutes of this with the agent. i was then told that they, in fact, did have vehicles ( that she claimed she picked up about an hour ago from other stores but they were dirty and the person to clean them would not be in until 10 am. my options were to cancel, wait for the cleaning personnel to arrive at 10, and then clean a vehicle or take a dirty vehicle. I was on a tight schedule to make my niece's graduation, so I took the soiled vehicle. Later that evening, I was sent a survey about my experience, in which I detailed my experience. I was given a reference # 27107934, and the email stated someone would be in contact with me in 2-3 business days. Since I hadn't heard from anyone, I called customer service today. I was on hold for 20 minutes, a rep picked up and told me she had to transfer me to another department. I was on hold for 1 hour this time. Another rep answered. I explained my concerns, and she asked me to hold while she looked into it. I was on hold for about 1 min, then transferred back to a queue. where I was on hold an additional 20 minutes before another rep picked up to tell me I was at the accident claims department, and she had to transfer me. This made an already bad situation worse. I would like to be contacted to resolve the situation. I believe compensation for having to take a soiled vehicle I didn't reserve and for the issues with the rude customer service agents,

      My $500 was not properly released and after a month and multiple phone calls, I'm still out of $500. It's hard to believe hertz as the ability to hold someone money but don't have the ability to show it's been released. What type of protection does the customer have.? How do I know this money has truly been release? My bank is asking for a release form and they are unable to provide this. They (hertz) is unable to show any record of my $500 hold or release. This is borderline fraud. I really want this practice to be looked into. This will be my last time renting from them.
