      I guess this is were all the one star reviews go to die. Most likely Hertz run it? Go back to goggle maps and review one by one in the location you rented at. Dirty pool old man. Less than line up of stars.

      Everything was too good to be true. Good price easy process until they sent me the bill where they added $17.00 for fuel and I DID fuel the car before return but that was only a minor problem. They added $400.00 for CLEANING!!! I was here on a business trip. No mud riding. They claimed on the bill that the car smelled like smoke. I DONT smoke. The lady who was at the return did not even bother to look at my car, she just told me to leave the keys and go. So I cant even dispute anything.Hertz is a SCAM.

      Want to start with the Employee there is amazing and tries everything to help. I rented 2 1/2 weeks and with out to much trouble. I prepaid for a car to pick up with all the same info as the last rental plus same card. Today iam told I can't rent. They have me call customer service to find out why declining. Customer service can tell me and neither can the supervisor at customer service. They blame the store who has shown me everything they can see. I have to fight to get my refund since I can't rent a car from them now. I am a 5 star member with Hertz and get treated like **** by customer service.

      They charge me $400 fee because they claimed I brought the car back damaged then it got switched to dirty and now they said it's because of smoke. The funny part was I don't smoke I keep an inhaler with me because I get shortness of breath. I asked for a better picture of the area they claim was dirty they never provided me with a better picture.

      I would not recomend renting a car from Hertz to anyone. I gave them a one star, because I could not go lower than that. I had the worst experience with them. I rented a car online ten days ago. I paid my reservation with a debit card. As soon as I hit submit, the funds were gone from my account. Today a day before I was supposed to pick up the rental, I get a phone call from the local Hertz office telling me my reservation was canceled because they do not accept pre payments with debit card. Meanwhile, they took the funds out of my account and now claim they can't refund my account for another 7 to 10 business days. Now I am stranded with no car and no money to rent another car. I spoke to three different people plus the chat and no one could help me. The all hid behind company policy. My frustration arises because they could've called me the day after I paid for my reservation and I would've have time to make other arrangements, but they waited until the day before to call me with the cancellation. Now I have almost $600.00 floating in limbo and no money to rent another car. This is poor customer service on their end. They should not have debited my account in the first place. WORST RENTAL EXPERIENCE EVER!!!!

      I have been a Hertz Gold Member for many many years. I am 52 years old and have been renting cars for almost 30 years. I obviously know to return my vehicle filled up with gas! I returned a car in ******* on Friday December 20th, 2024. On my way to the airport, I filled up at a local **************. A few weeks later - I received a bill from Hertz for $69.24 for a "refueling fee". Figured it was a mistake...no problem...I sent my credit card bill showing the GAS PURCHASE along with the other information they requested. NOTHING. Crickets. I got the bill again. This time I sent the information via their **************** email and not the regular mail. Crickets...NOTHING. I get the bill AGAIN...so I email customer service...who this time responds and tells me the bill is with a COLLECTION AGENCY and I would need to call them to deal with it. Seriously?????? Ridiculous.I will never rent from Hertz again. There are so many other companies that are just as good, with less hassle.

      Worse rental car company I've ever seen. Overcharged me on my vehicle. Vehicle was not available when I arrived at airport. Forced me to prove that I would return the vehicle when I arrived to pick up the vehicle from ********** airport. Harassed me about insurance that I didn't need. Provided no help in picking up my vehicle. Delayed for over an hour in picking up vehicle. Will never use company again and do not recommend.

      No live customer support available! No matter what number you call or what option you select you can only get automated pre-recorded responses to preset issues. If you have an issue that doesn't fit a category you can't talk to a live agent. Not only that but I was forced to take an EV vehicle which I have never driven and was very uncomfortable with because they said they were out of other cars and it was my only option. When I reserve the car it was managers choice but at no point in my contract or in the reservation did it state that an EV was an option it only listed sizes. Their own paperwork states that you should never drive a car you are not comfortable with. This presents a dangerous situation for both the driver the car and others on the road I am a senior citizen and agents were rude and condescending about the fact that I was nervous taking a type of car that I had never driven

      I have an appointment, when I arrived They said that we have no more cars without notifications. I book **** front and back with 200 bucks for nothing

      I reserved a car for 2:30 ************** the **** took longer than expected and I ended up getting to hertz around 3:08. I was unaware that they closed at 3. When I got to the front the door was locked and there were two black women in the front. I knocked on the door and they didnt even bother to acknowledge me. It was like I was completely invisible. I knocked a couple more times and they just kept attending to vacuuming and walking around like I didnt exist. I ended up spending another 30 mins standing outside, looking for another car rental company to accommodate me and wait for my ****. I understand that they were closed but to not even acknowledge my presence or anything was so heartbreaking.
