In February 2024, we brought our jeep grand Cherokee into AAMCO for a service on the four-wheel drive system as it was stuck in four-wheel drive. We paid roughly $3,000 for this repair. Throughout the last 15 months, weve had multiple phone calls with excuses as to why our car is not yet ready. Weve asked for a refund and they refused. Weve asked them to buy it from us to part it out and they refused that as well. As of May 6, 2025 the mechanic, *******, who weve been speaking with throughout this entire processs, told us our jeep is ready to go. We came to pick it up and he said it was working fine. Nonetheless, the jeep was still stuck in four wheel drive when we tried driving it around the block. Being a mom of two young girls battling stage 4 cancer, it is completely unacceptable that he would give us an unusable and unreliable car when we have school, work, and constant doctor appointments. Ive explained to ******* of our situation and our dire need of this family car. This company lacks all morals and business ethics. Our goal is for them to successfully just simply get our working car back after weve spent thousands of dollars and have waited 13+ months.

I brought my car in to get a new transmission. When I went to PU my vehicle back up, none of the center console buttons or lights were working. So contacted them about it. They said it was not their issue. We had them look at it anyways and they found they blew 3 fuses and ended up replacing them. They were not kind about this at all but whatever they fixed it. Few days later, my car is leaking and they my engine light back on. I didn't want to bring my car back to them because they are untrustworthy. So we contacted another location and also corporate and was told we HAD to go through them because it's a franchise. We could have them transfer but it would be up to them. We asked them to do so and the owner *** refused and was very nasty to my husband. We brought the car back to them to inspect and they are telling us it's not the transmission. I would either like my money back or another location to take over my issue and get my car fixed. I paid them almost 5k for them to ruin my car more.

I took my car to **** to get a diagnostic done on my **** edge back in February. They did not do what I asked them to do which was a diagnostic instead they changed one of my O2 sensors and tried to charge me $800 $65 for work that they did. I went in the store to dispute this and the owner / manager *** ***** told me that his worker should not have done that and that he would discard the receipt and start a new one and do exactly what I asked for. Upon this conversation I could not reach them for over 2 months once I did contact Mr ***** coworker he had informed me that they did in fact put a new transmission in my car and that I owe them $5,000 I told them that I did not authorize this and they argue with me and told me I did months later they left a message on my phone telling me that I needed to bring in my title. I filed a lawsuit in small claims court in ************ the judge told me that I needed to get there entity name and come back and try again. I am meeting your help to find the franchise / entity name for this company.

The transmission went out in my car on December 18. I have been dealing with AAMCO for 4 months. The car still does not work. It has been in and out of the shop multiple times. This time it has been 3 weeks. I would like my car and my money back.

On Feb 20, 2024 took car to AAMCO for transmission troubles. Received the car back on March 12. Took the car back to the shop because the check engine light came back on. The transmission was not fixed. Today is ***** 16,2024 still no car. Feb to ***** is not an acceptable time for fixing the car . We have been without our car for so long its become a great hardship. Having to make arrangements for work and school. It's become so expensive trying to get everyday things done. What do I do to get my car back? AAMCO doesn't return phone calls. AAMCO doesn't deliver.

On February 21-2024 my escape was picked up by AAMCO ( Aurora) for die agnostic. The removed my transmission (with no permission from me ) and contacted my warranty company after. My warranty company Veritas had void payment because AAMCO did not wait so they could run a check. ( a transmission was on a work bench they claim is mine , but the warranty inspector said there was no way to prove what part belonged to what car. (Several parts on bench)Whe I started calling AAMCO to find out what was happening, they made excuses, lied, and seem to have a problem putting my transmission back into my escape (so I can have it towed to a different company for repair). I have spoken to *** 4 days in a row and each day my escape wound ready *************. Then 12 then tomorrow This is now Friday March 22. I still CANNOT get my car. They are responsible for voiding my warranty and are not making it even possible to get my car.

AAMCO Transmission is where i took my car for work. Knowing appox what it was going to cost, I put a $1000.00 cash down toward the bill on 3-1-24. On 3-5-24, I put another $700.00 down toward the bill and ************************ wrote down the *** on his business card $1000.00 down and on the second card he wrote down $700.00 and *** $ ******* and sign it 3-5-24 then scratch it out then wrote $2200 even and sign the card. I had to ****** the money to pay off the car before I could get it back. On 3-18-24 i was informed it was ready and went to pick it up. I inform ********** manger what *** did and showed the cards to him but *** was out of the office and *** charged my card $2275. which put my bank account in neg balance since I thought I only needed $2200 to pay off the bill. I tried to stop payment but I used a debit card and the money already taken from my account. I asked for the $75.00 be refunded and honor his quote of repairs. I was told they couldn't refund and a check would be sent via ***** overnight and when I asked *** on 3-20-24 where the check he didn't have a answer and would call corporates. And call me back and im still waiting for a answer after 4 hours

In April of 2023,I had dropped off my vehicle for a turbo replacement covered by my warranty. After diagnosing and replacing my turbo. The engine siezed and on 5/18/2023 they billed my warranty for a new engine. Got called for pick up and I signed a release form, and a form for repairs. When they started up my vehicle inside the shop it started leaking. Its been 7 months and 4 engines at this point but gave the *** for pickup 12/29/2023. they are telling me its going to need another engine replacement. My warranty company paid out the invoice because I signed the release form as proof repairs were done and vehicle was fixed. Vehicle has not been fixed. The shop is incompetent and a cycling Scam. Other documents will be sent once warranty company reaches out

We took our car to Aamco in the end of July because we're having transmission problems. They said it needed a new transmission. So waited 2 weeks to get car back and paid almost $6300 for it. 2 weeks later, the car started jerking and shuddering, so took it back again. Transmission was under warranty since we paid for a new one. So, this time it took them 3 weeks back and forth, then coming up with a programming issues, so said they fixed that and took them 3 weeks to do that! Had my car back for ONE DAY, and had to get it towed ....AGAIN, back to shop! Now they have had it going on another 3 weeks , now telling us they have to order another transmission which will take another week to receive, then will put it in. So during this almost 3 months back and forth with them, telling us different stories, losing work (I do Uber) , and many missed appointments, licence plate registration now late. We qsked them if they can do a partial refund or give us some kind of reimbursement and thry said "we don't do that". Their corporate office said they can, but its up to the specific shop manager. We just needed a loaner car, or rental, and needed to get our licence plates a month ago, and now are going to incur fees for late registration because we haven't been able to get the emissions for it because Aamco has had the car for so long! This is getting beyond frustrating, and mind you, their communication is horrible. Asked weeks ago if they would just communicate with us and give us updates, and they don't. We have to call ourselves all the time! So because of lost work , missed appointments , late licence plate fees, and hopefully be able to get a rental car to use in the meantime, we are asking for at least $1000 refund! Just something because with health problems and all these appointments , and lack of income, we need some kind of transportation, and reimbursement for some of this. Also, if not resolved, we have spoke to atorney and will be filing a civil suit
