Saturday, January 7,2024 between 12am and 1am Inland towing was in the process of towing my car. I paid for them to remove my car from their truck. They charged me $535.00 via Zelle. That same night I called and asked for my receipt and was told to provide my email via text and they will send me a receipt. I called to ask again for my receipt and I was told that they'll get to it when they feel like it. By them not providing me with my receipt I cannot continue the process of getting reimbursement from my job. I believe I was over charged and that the company is unprofessional but all that I am asking for is my receipt.Initial Complaint

Date of transaction: 12/2/2023 My vehicle was towed at a parking lot. Reason they stated is for no event parking and over 1 hour parking, however I did not see any sign of this. I was able to retrieve my car within the hour/same day 12/2/23 . My car was towed to the Inland Towing, **** yard which was less than 12 miles. I was charged a high fee of $535.00 to get my car back. My car was not even stored in their yard for 24 hours. I traveled to the yard as soon as I was able to get information of the company . Many cars were also towed this same night by this company. They would not take any type of card payments and only wanted cash. The staffs were all very rude and yelling at people who were just trying to get their cars back. On 11/19/2023 I went to ************* on Iowa St *********, **. I was blocked from parking in the available parking spots for the restaurant by an Inland Towing truck, forcing me to park in front of the business next door. I went into the restaurant for approximately 15 minutes and by the time I came out Inland Towing had taken my car. They are purposely blocking open spaces from businesses in order to trick people into parking somewhere that they can tow their vehicles from. This company is scamming people and from the reviews I've read online, they have been doing this for years. When I picked up my vehicle they stated that they only accepted cash or I could transfer money to them through Zelle. $480.00 is what they charged. It is illegal to tow a car that has been parked somewhere "unauthorized" if it was less than an hour that the car was there.Initial Complaint

This company unlawfully towed my car and REFUSED to show me the signed authorization form. They also forced me to pay through Zelle which is illegal as they have to provide more than one option for the form of payment. They also refused to show us any evidence that I left the premises. This company needs to be investigated for unlawful practices as their yelp page has reviews with many similar situations of them forcing customers to pay with cash or Zelle and not providing any proof that they were authorized to tow the car.Initial Complaint

last night they towed my truck 4 miles away and we recovered the truck within an hour from them. but some how they still came up with a $3750 invoice and demanded it paid by cash or zelle. For obvious reasons, I'm sure everyone disputes their ridiculous charges and they know it. They claimed the property owner called and asked for your truck to be towed, its an empty dirt lot on the corner of valley and juniper in ******** ****** was away from the truck for 15 mins with the truck still running and his dog inside. I can guarantee no phone call was made by the owner and the tow truck driver was just fishing for work. I will also be contacting ca tax department for their unlawful payment collections that I can also guarantee are off the books. they also towed by truck without disconnecting the driveshaft which completed damaged it and am sending it to the shop now for repairs.Initial Complaint

Husband parked at the walmart located at to buy groceries and has a receipt to prove it and when he came out his semi was towed. There are no signs posted that prohibit truck parking. He now has a 3k tow bill that has to be paid. The company receipt states they hooked the truck up and towed it which is not truck they drove the truck to the lot and there is video to prove it. They unlocked the truck and drove it. It is a commercial vehicle that is extremely dangerous and when he asked who drove the truck and if they have the proper license to operate the vehicle they refused to answer. Charging for hooks up when they didn't is fraud.
