1 starI was a long term customer (15 years) before ********************** started adding apps I didn't request. In 2024 I cancelled my subscription, it was set up on ****** for auto renewal. The ** *** told me it was cancelled in 2024. In May 2025 I received an email that my ****** was charged $91.75 for the yearly subscription, even though they had offered renewal via emails for $19.00. I did not renew. Then I got the email that they had charger the $91.75 for renewal. I tried to login to the web site but none of my email addresses would allow me to login, so I opened a chat. Got the response that since it had already been charged to my account, I could not get a refund. If anyone out there has System Mechanic on auto renewal, go to ****** and block the auto pay because they will charge you even though you have cancelled your subscription. Good luck getting any of your money back. They are liars and thieves.RealDefense LLC

We regret any confusion regarding you iolo subscriptions. Your account reflects a cancellation of a System Mechanic Professional license in 2024 but then a purchase of a special discounted offer of System Mechanic Ultimate Defense was made 6/24/24 which would automatically renew in 2025 at the regular price unless cancelled before the renewal date. Our records do not reflect a request to cancel that autorenewal of the Ultimate Defense license until May 20th after the renewal fee had been process. A refund was issued on May 21st as a goodwill gesture and in exception to the terms of your purchase which state that monthly and annual subscription fees are not refundable.
You currently have no active subscriptions and will see no additional charges unless you choose to make a purchase in the future.

1 starHow incredibly deceptive and immoral can a company be? They prey on the ignorant and gullible. Every single phishing text I get leads to them. They pretend to be apple and tell you that your data will be wiped because to have too much stored, then send you to a very deceptive site and sell you subscription services you don't need. If the owner of this company doesn't engage in these tactics directly they must obviously know of them. I highly doubt anybody at this company has ever taken a business ethics course and if they have they slept through it and failed. If the product was worth buying they would advertise directly rather than phish for it.RealDefense LLC

We regret to learn that you are receiving phishing text messages that you feel originated from Real Defense or USTech Support. We do not sent text message to our current or potential customers. But advertise our services as reputable companies do. Unfortunately, at times scammers do contact customers claiming to be a legitimate representative of a company. We do what we can to report and inform customers of any potential scam when made aware.
Real Defense will never call, text or email you unless you ask, so we provide all our listed phone numbers to Nomorobo for Blacklisting to protect consumers from unwanted calls. Nomorobo has an algorithm for detecting high frequency calling patterns. It can look at lots of calls and see which ones are auto dialed by scammers. ******** provides call blocking services to consumers directly and through partnerships with major carriers. 1 starWas an iolo user for years, renewed my annual subscription like I always did - then found out they charged me a monthly fee through ****** (iolo didn't event send monthly receipts). I NEVER approved of that charge. Very deceptive! They wouldn't refund me aside from the very last charge.RealDefense LLC

Our records reflect that when you renewed your iolo System Mechanic Standard 1-year software in December 2024 you took advantage of a promotionally discounted offer that included a 30-day free trial of our LiveTech 24/7 ************************** which would renew at the regular monthly price at the end of the trial period unless cancelled. Information about the ******** service is provided in the shopping cart order summary before any personal information is entered, and in your order confirmation email. We regret if you found the offer unclear in any way. The **************** was renewed monthly as scheduled until we received your cancellation request on 5/3/25. As an exception to the terms of your purchase which state that monthly and annual subscription fees are not refundable, a refund of the May renewal fee was issued at that time.
Your System Mechanic Standard license remains active with auto renewal scheduled for 12/6/25.

NOT IOLO ANYMORE!!No where on their Site, Does Not have a Link to Cancel Auto Renewal!! Think this is Illegal.!!Finally spoke to somebody, was ******************************* Mechanic, is NOT the Same!!! Really Do Not think it does anything!! Even though says it does!!When it really was Iolo? Best Version was ****** think this is a Shady Business!! 2 starsIOLO I called after hours to billing 24 min wait. The *** spoke broken English at best along with very soft and very fast speed. We talked for 52 mins without resolve. she ***eated the same "special deal she could offer many many times over to loyal customers" she finally offered to cancel all future auto renew. The one thing she could not do was refund me for the 7/24 tech support fee, that I didn't willingly ask for. I will say I have been a customer for many years and expected better customer service. The ***** charge seems to appear quite often in the BBB reviews. I'm not happy with how Systy Mechanic has changed over the years. To me it is deception to tag other products on your order with little or no warning. I cannot honestly recommend IOLO products to my friends.RealDefense LLC

1 starMy expense with RealDefense / USTechSupport was completely unsatisfactory. I called the iolo 800-number for assistance setting up my new computer and was referred to USTechSupport. I was charged $626 for a 3-year contract for full tech support. I was then referred to a support *** located somewhere across the globe, who was difficult to understand and could not get my email program installed. After 1 1/2 hours on the line, he made an appointment to call back the next day. He did not call. However, I did receive and email from USTechSupport that my issue had been resolved. I responded immediately with a request for cancellation and was eventually granted ONLY a 50% refund. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! Iolo should be embarrassed to be connected to them.RealDefense LLC
