They had been using faulty x-ray image for more than a decade in the old mountain view office. They refused to upgrade their faulty x-ray machine. When their patients came for routine checkup, the x-ray was so unclear, it failed to show anything serious with the teeth.
If the patient their teeth had big cavities, they miss the golden opportunity to save the teeth from further decay. When the cavity reaches the nerves, the patients have to come back to get a new crown which was charged for more than $1000+. They also get charged for each doctor visit.
On the contrary, there were some patients got overcharged for unnecessary work because the x-ray image was too blurry. There were one case when the patient only need 1 filling, Camino dental group told her that she needed 3 fillings and had to do it asap, and if she paid cash, she would get 10% discount. They used the blurry x-image to deceive the patients and charged them for unnecessary work.
I had been a patient of Camino dental group for almost a decade. At the beginning, Dr. Sheila and Dr. ***** gave me a very good impressions because they are Christians. They always act very friendly and humble. However, during routine checkup, I found out that the x-ray images of my teeth was very blurry. I made a comment to Dr. Sheila about the poor quality of the x-ray image, but Dr. Sheila told me that the x-ray image was digital image and that was the reason. I did not ask any question again until 2018. About summertime in 2018, I had a tooth pain, they shut down 2 weeks for vacation. I went to Kifer Park Dental for help. They took x-ray of my tooth. I was amazed of the good quality of the x-ray image. But the Dentist on duty told me she did not have the experience to perform the operation for me. So, I went to see Dr. Sheila. I told her about my experience with Kifer Park Dental. I urged her to upgrade her faulty x-ray machine. She ignored me! I have a responsibility to report it to BBB.
