I bought a used motorcycle from the harley ********** in *********************. The bike was more than likely not safe to even drive off the lot. after bringing it home the first time, the bike would not start again after it was shut off. The ********** had to pick it up from my house and take it back to their shop to fix it. After the bike was returned to me it was still broken and they had to come to my house and get it to fix it two more times. Sonce then there has been a new problem almost every couple of weeks. I have had to replace the clutch, the head and head gaskets and have everything tightened down. Upon closer inspection there are missing bolts in the fairing, the radio doesnt work, the shocks are blown out, and there is still rattling in the crank case. I have poured an additional **** dollars in parts and labor into this bike so far. When it broke down at the San ********************* ********** they appraised the bike at **** dollars and then charged me 900 dollars to replace the clutch cable and the basket. This bike was not safe in the first place and shouldnt have been sold, even though the salesman and the head mechanic assured me it was bullet proof. I have never been so ripped off in my life, and I feel this is legitimately a crime and this ********** should be held accountable. I do not have pictures of all the receipts, however, ****** does record all the work they do. Since my incindent I have heard from countless people of how they were ripped off at the establishment as well. I feel I should be reimbursed for part of what I have paid already and have the rest of my loan wiped clean. If you cant help me out PLEASE make sure they cant do this to anyone else. Thank you , have a great day, and I hope to hear from you soon.

My wife and I went to this dealership to look at motorcycles and were looking to maintain a certain out the door price. We were 'guaranteed' that we could find a deal that was within our bounds. After about an hour, several 'soft' hits to my credit and the dealers trying to push two items WAAAAY out of our price range, we tried to explain that our daughter's bedtime had passed *** we needed to go. The manager then proceeded to try to sweet-talk us into a deal that was in no way affordable for us. He and his salesman insisted that instead of looking at a used bike, I should purchase a new one because the interest rate would be lower. They said that they could keep my payments the same and keep the cost down and I would walk out with a new vehicle as opposed to a used one. Upon inspecting the breakdown, it appeared that they thought I would not understand that they extended the life of the loan another 12 months (effectively keeping the payment around where I wanted it). In addition, they failed to mention that I would be paying 50% more than my original price and that two-thousand dollars of that would go to fees- that's right, just fees. In addition to all of this, the salesman took a great amount of my personal information and left it on his desk, out in the open, as he tended to other things. I understand and appreciate how business works. I know that a company must make a profit in order to stay operational. However, trying to trick the customer by distorting their perception is not a way to go about this. It is truly a shame to me that a company that claims to take care of our country's service members would treat one this way. My reason behind writing this is that I, unlike House of Thunder Harley-Davidson, would like to take care of my fellow service members. Customers should be aware of their deceiving tactics and blatant lies. No one deserves to suffer at the hand of the deception of a greedy 'American' company.

    Mr. Smith
I would like to start by apologizing for not having a Harley-Davidson in your out the door price rang . But I'm not sorry for our staff taking the time to try and get you out on a bike that would fit in your monthly payment range.
I believe the Sale's Manager was trying to get you on a NEW Harley-Davidson that would give you 2 years and unlimited miles of riding under your factory warrant without any extra expenditures. I understand your down payment was limited as well, offering you the lower rates offered to active-duty military and taking the loan out an additional 12 months was the best option for your desired payment.
And on the payment sheet that was presented to you it had a 60 month 72 month and an 84 month terms and both a used and new where presented at the same time so to say there was deceit is a untruth.
The Sale's Manager helping you has over 20 years in the U.S. Army, he is a combat veteran with several tours overseas. To think that because we worked to get you a NEW Harley-Davidson to fit your budget was taking advantage of you as a service member is a shame.
Here at House of Thunder Harley-Davidson we are very proud of the men and women that serve our country the fact that you were unable to purchase here has nothing to do with your job at the U.S Coast Guard.
