My son passed away on May 23, 2023. Cedar Hill Mortuary & Accommodations was chosen by me to cremate his body. After several days I was contacted for payment. I expected to be made aware of when he would be cremated so that I could plan a service. I was told it would be soon but it was weeks. When I called I would get an automated message saying "I'll call you back" but never a call back. Whenever I did talk to someone, I was promised his remains would be mailed and that they would call me with a tracking number. That call never came. In short, they did not communicate with me as they should have and then the information was not true. I finally got his remains almost a month after my sons death.Now it is August 28, 2023 and I've called several times about a death certificate which I paid for 3 to be delivered to me and call after call, mostly no answer, email, text messages I don't have them. I have spoken to a woman named ****, who said they were there and would be mailed, still no certificates. It's been more than three weeks and no receipt of them. She said she'd call me with tracking number - nothing. Unprofessional and uncaring in a time most difficult for families to have to deal with such unnecessary treatment.
