      Sent them a drive for RMA and they claimed they did not receive it.

      My experience with Seagate has been dismal and frustrating! I purchased an external hard drive, and it crashed. I contacted them and had the data recovery option. I sent the original back, and they sent me two drives - one to replace the crashed one under warranty, and the second with my original data. BOTH drives are corrupted, and I have not been able to use either of them. No matter what port I plug the drives into, it ends up corrupting that port on the computer. I finally got a chat person (most likely a bot) and got a second case number but that's where it stops. I cannot get ANY contact other than chat, and they simply won't open a chat box. No possible way to call them. In short, I bought a drive and now have no drive or my data. Absolutely no way to contact them or get any answers. I wish I could give them a negative 5 rating.

      Recently sent in a failing 8TB ironwolf pro drive for ***. Seagate sent me a *** label and I sent it packaged properly. Drive was delivered without any issues. Here start my troubles. No email updates whatsoever for 3 weeks. I continue to contact support via the message links and each and every time their response is "Once a package is delivered, it generally takes our warehouse 3-5 business days to process the product, before it shows as received within our return system. Once your hard drive has been processed, you will be notified via email." I sent the *** in on 6/30 and it's been more than ******************************************** any email. Henceforth I will be moving away from any Seagate product if their support is so bad.

      I absolutely despise Seagate as a company and firmly believe the company should close down!!! I have been trying to get an 8TB Firecuda replacement for over a month now. The one I did have was new bought through ******, but, the new drive crashed just over 2 months of using it. I am constantly being told Seagate went through a system migration and this is why it is taking so long to get a replacement. This is complete garbage. I have worked for many companies, both big and small, who went through system migrations, but, they never took this long to get their ordering system up and running to take care of their clients/customers. I used to highly respect Seagate and enjoyed buying their products in the past. Now, I have Buyer's Remorse. I want a refund so I can buy another competitor's hard drive, but, the agents (only on Chat and no longer any phone or email agents) constantly told me there is no refunds permitted. WHAT A SORRY COMPANY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11

      I have owned ***** drives most of my working career. Seagate is now the warranty provider for ***** technologies. I recently purchased a ***** 4tb drive but the ***** port was defective. Luckily, it was still covered under the warranty. I shipped the drive back to Seagate in return for a refurbished drive. They sent me an even more defective one. I shipped the defective one back and have been waiting for over a month now to get the 2nd refurbished drive. Seagate's Live Agent portal is shoddy at best. The connection keeps closing and that's to say you can even get an agent on at all. After 2 weeks of back and forth waiting and getting the run around, I finally got a supervisor on Live Agent. He was nice enough but informed by their policy was no refunds and no new drives. At this point, I am at the mercy of the Seagate warehouse waiting to get to my drive if at all. Also, will they send a decent refurbished drive? We are talking about a retail price of $150.00... So ******.

      I have been trying to get in touch with Lacie for 2 hard drives that have failed as they offer free data recovery within 3 years of purchase. They do not have phone support and I was on chat for 4 hours today with absolutely NO help.

      bought a 5 tb hdd 2 years ago. It randomly failed on me (RAW. chkdsk etc. does nothing.) decided to try and fiddle with the wire, and what do you know, the issue seems to be with the wire. so i called them to get a replacement because A- im under warranty, and B- the issue is in how their genius R&D decided to make the wire (it seems to be a commonish problem). after their incredibly helpful customer service kept me on the phone for 20 minutes, their brilliant idea for me was to buy a new wire. if this is how they stand behind their products, design a c*** wire, and then just tell everyone who has a issue with said wire to buy a new one...shame on them
