Canoga Park Heating & Air Conditioning Response

On 2/21/23 ************** arrived to perform a maintenance tot he heating system as requested by the customer. Upon inspection of the system, the technician noticed the capacitor that powers the inducer motor tot he heating system was not at full strength which would cause the system to work intermittently. The point of maintenances on these systems is to make sure all parts are working efficiently and properly. When there is an area of concern, these issue are then brought up to the customer and recommendations are then given. The issue of the capacitor was brought up to the customer and she denied any action taken and advised the technician she would be contacting her home insurance for repairs as stated in her original maintenance invoice. Customer called back concerning her heat not working and the technician advised it was due tot he same issue that had been brought to her attention during the maintenance. The capacitor was weak and only able to turn on the inducer motor intermittently. At that time, customer agreed to replace the capacitor. Part was installed and the system was now working at normal operation. Customer was happy at the time.
Many companies will try to discredit previous companies in attempt to win a customer over. Our technicians are trained to properly clean all working areas and would not leave any parts on the roof. There is no way of knowing if this new company hired was telling the truth and did not simply have an old part themselves to try and discredit CPHAC. Was there a picture of the part taken of when it was found by the new company? Is there any further documentation of them finding the part and testing it with the unit to make sure it was working and at full strength? Or was their word simply taken as is?
