0 stars because the whole ordeal doesn't deserve any good rating at all. I brought my **** ***** PU C-**** to Transmission King, because I was referred by someone at work, that he does "free diagnostics" to tell someone what's wrong with their vehicle/transmission. **** calls me a few days later to tell me it's going to cost $500 to pull the transmission to actually see what's going on with it. So where's the "free diagnostic", because I never got the "free" part of telling me what the issues were. So I agreed for him to pull it out, what other choice do i have? I needed my daily driver fixed. Then he calls me back stating that it needs to be completely rebuilt with a new torque converter. Quote-$495 removal/installation of transmission,$1,695 for rebuild, and $485 for a new torque converter $2,675; after taxes total price was $2,942.50. He already had the transmission pulled and apart so what other option did I have? He wouldn't let me bring a used/new transmission to switch it with because it's "against his company policy". So I had no other choice. Now that received my truck back; I've found an oil leak between the engine and transmission(had rear main seal replaced less than 6 months before ****'s repair with no leaks), my thermostat doesn't work properly now(replaced it a few months before ****'s repair) but because it's not "transmission" related it's not his issue, and I need to take it back to the mechanic that replaced it. That's not how this works, I had no other issues other than the transmission slipping, when I dropped it off to ****/Transmission King. Now when I'm at a stop, and go to take off the motor revs up and it takes 2-3 seconds to "clunk" into gear and then progresses forward. And when I'm traveling down the road between ***** MPH it's like it's engaging and reengaging gears while cruising. I've purposely drove through town to "take it easy" per **** but I'm still having issues. DO NOT TAKE YOUR VEHICLES HERE OVERPRICED AND TERRIBLE SERVICE!!!
