8/9/2023 my vehicle was towed from my apartment complex because I didn't have a parking decal. I was advised they have a contract. I was able to make contact and pick up my vehicle, but I was advised they only accept cash. The *************** told me they do not have a receipt book and I would get an email showing I paid ****** to recover my vehicle. It has been over a *************** I call in trying to get a receipt I'm being handled very disrespectfully & hung up on. I would like proof of tow and I also believe failure to give receipts is a tale tell sign they are dodging IRS. I would like this company to be investigated due to their nature of handling business.Initial Complaint

Tri state towing repossessed a car next to my truck and damaged my truck in the process. I filed a police report and got a repair estimate from **** body shop totaling $1,710.63 in damages.I have a Video of the tow driver in my carport for almost up to 5 minutes. Obviously damaging my truck. I reached out to tow company and sent the estimate and have not received any reply what so ever. This company also request cash for car that was repossessed and says they can not give a receipt.Initial Complaint

This is a repo company, our lien holder sent the release paperwork to them twice and they will not release our vehicle. I have sent them a photo of the release paperwork as well. I have emailed and called but everything is automated and the person who answers the phone listed on ****** refers you back to the tristate recovery automated number. We need our car back. My car was repossessed and I redeemed it in two days. The lien holder has sent over the release but they still have my vehicle on hold where I cannot make an appointment to pick it up. They do this so you have to pay $25 dollars per day to hold your vehicle. They do not respond to voice mails or emails. I just paid $3000 to get my vehicle back it is mine and I want it. Not to mention all of my belongings are probably being stolen from the crooks who work there. These people are shady. Something needs to be done about them ASAP.Initial Complaint

First other night my car was towed ********** got in contact with the driver as well as myself and He told me ************************************************************** dont worry about paying tomorrow if it was a inconvenience .Me and as well as my friends called multiple times .The next day I called several times and they changed the times of when to get it , they were beyond rude . And when shown the drivers number of the vehicle they said we couldnt get police involved. They wouldnt let me go to my vehicle or get anything out they said they had to bring it out themselves and increased the price to 250 . They were there while we honked the horn and got there at the time he asked and waited to come out not to mention my friend called the same male worker I spoke with and he told her completely different than what I was told and also told her I was the problem I asked to get my wallet he asked for my keys to get it which I find extremely crazy being the fact that would be going through my stuff MY PERSONAL BELONGINGS.Im missing money from the inside of my car that I as well as my friend know for a fact was in there . And on top of that driving down the road from there my Car broke down had no issues that night or even before then but when the man drove it up my maintenance was on an snow need a new battery my car was unlocked when towed .Initial Complaint

My complaint is about tri state recovery. This company is crooked. Tri state has strong armed robbed people of their cars and personal property. There is no way of contacting them. Want you to set up appointments which could take three day to confirm al the while storage fees are added every day. I want my truck. I'm not stopping until I get my truck.Initial Complaint

My car was repossessed and the company will not let me get my vehicle in a timely manner. They only allow appointments with very few slots being available each day. They accrue Daily storage fees and not allowing your car or property to be released for nearly a week is an underhanded tactic to get more money.Initial Complaint

If I had no stars I would definitely have given it to this place. Fell on hard times and this is the company that was sent to pick up my vehicle. I worked my a** off to get the money to get my car back and stayed in communication with the lienholder which stayed in communication with the vendor and this tow company. I asked several time for an address to go and retrieve my items was always told that I had to schedule and appointment and I couldn't do that until I made all my payments and the lienholder sent over the reinstatement letter. Fast forward upon picking up my car on 9/23 I noticed that several items were missing one of the main items that stood out to me in that moment was my sons 25 dollars that was inside of the car in the sunglass compartment. ***** at the tow yard replaced 20 of the 25 dollars. When I got home and was putting everything back in place and getting things out of the trunk. I noticed that several items were missing. My Iphone 7 Plus, all of my newly purchased liquor, and all of my son's snack ( several boxes or chips and juices). This company swears that they have a policy not to keep these items and they discard this items. Meanwhile, individuals who spent their hard earned money basically has had it flushed down the toilet. Called the vendor which is PAR opened up a case and after a week and a day they called me to tell me that this tow yard stated that they don't have my items. Now mind you this company made a key to my car so whoever went in the car took this items. If you think they are going to be honest and tell the truth about stealing items you a stupid. I have reached out to an attorney who has taken my case. So the next time the hear my name is it going to be coming from my lawyers mouth when they are served with papers. SO I hope that both PAR and Tri State Towing are both prepared. I know that I am not the first person you all have done this to but I will definitely be the last. See you in court.
