Please beware of this pediatrician's office. Although we were referred here by some good friends of ours and we do love the doctor ******************* the office staff has been nothing but subpar to put it nicely. If you have any type of out of state insurance you are a "problem" because it might take extra steps to complete claims. They will not withdrawal claims or refile the correct way to ensure bills are covered when they should be. They WILL NOT under any circumstance set up a payment plan for any unpaid balances not covered by insurance and they do not work with you on this. If you offer to pay what you can towards the balance they laugh at you and say "that will not help". The office staff is extremely rude and demanding and does not have any type of customer service skills- some of if not the worst I have ever encountered. We were threatened that the balance had to be paid in full multiple times (and before my son could see the doctor). They make promises for call backs and or meetings with no follow through. It is a shame too because **************** is a wonderful, caring doctor with a great bedside manner; however it appears he was not able to get involved and or could have been coached not to discuss anything regarding that with **. Please beware that if you are not the perfect "cookie cutter" patient and or do not have BCBS of AL (easy insurance) you may receive the same unfair treatment we did.
