    We we're overcharged a $90 diagnostic fee for the repair. As advised by **************, the Service Advisor, during the initial set of discussions about bringing our vehicle into TAPCO for service, he stated that TAPCO would credit/apply the diagnostic fee toward the cost of the repair if we got the work done there. If not, we would have to pay the diagnostic fee outright. Per RO #*****, TAPCO performed the work but still charged the diagnostic fee.Instead of applying the total diagnostic fee of $125.00 toward the total repair cost, TAPCO elected to charged us a reduce diagnostic fee of $90. Note: It is a repair industry standard&basic business operating principle/practice that the diagnostic fee is applied toward the cost of the repair.After picking up the vehicle on 06/30/23 and reviewing the printed RO,we noticed the error and provided written notice to TAPCO via their text system. On Mon 07/03/23, TAPCO responded with a refusal to correct the error &refund the overcharged $90 diagnostic fee. I immediately called to speak with **************, the person identified as the General Manager, regarding the matter. I explained what occurred and he advised:"I spoke to ***** and ***** said that he didnt say that. We've already given you a discount and will not be refunding the diagnostic fee." I asked if the ****** Mr. *************** was available to discuss this matter further.************** advised that he would pass my request for contact and information along to Mr. **************** I provided my name, phone #, &email accordingly. Please be advised there was no notice posted in the store;provided via the electronic RO system; or stated on the written RO that diagnostic fees were a separate and independent charge that would NOT be applied toward the cost of the repair. Also, the "discount" was TAPCOs standard ************************** &Nurses Discount that it provides to all eligible customers. It has nothing to do with the overcharged $90 diagnostic fee. ************** is a Disabled Vet.
