Programs

The Toledo Symphony performs 38 subscription concerts in 4 main venues in Toledo and the surrounding area playing a wide range of repertoire from Classical to the music of Queen. In addition, the TSO travels to over 30 churches and community venues in the region stretching as far south as Greenville, Ohio. The Toledo Symphony performs 4 Young Peoples concerts each year for students in TPS and the suburban schools and 1 4th grade concert for the TPS students. Other educational activities includes managing the Toledo Youth Orchestra which has over 130 participants and managing the Toledo Symphony School of Music teaching music lessons to students as young as 4 years old. There were two main highlights from the 2013/2014 fiscal year. The Symphony made it's debut in the Huntington Center performing Beethoven's 9th symphony. This performance included over 1,000 voices from several of the high school choirs from the Toledo and surrounding area. This concert was a celebration of the Toledo Symphony's 70th anniversary. The other special event was the Pro-Am concert in which members of the community participated in a concert on stage at the Peristyle along side a TSO musician. Both of these events were successful for the orchestra and the community.

For the 65th consecutive season, the Toledo Symphony will bring music to the regions of Northwest Ohio and Southeast Michigan. In 2008-2009 it will continue its mission of service and quality and present over 400 performances to nearly 300,000 music listeners. Performances take place in classrooms, concert halls, churches, auditoriums, senior centers, and theatres in nearly 100 communities in Ohio, Michigan, and Indiana.
