Sales rep ******** lies to potential customers during enrollment call.I got a post card from ******* during enrollment period in 2023.The two main things I asked about with the sales rep ******* Is my current medical PCP provider included in network.2) Is my current dentist covered in network.I spoke with "****". He initially could not find my doctor or dentist on the provider list. After a bit, he said he did find them on the "Hidden" lists.I opened a complaint with Essence Health care. Got transferred around a lot until I was able to speak to someone that appeared to be competent.I jotted down notes of my conversation on the Enrollment solicitation mailer.After I got my plan documents, I was not able to find either of my providers on it, I also looked on the website, not there either.I Spoke to a rep, and finally got in touch with a compliance officer. After several phone calls and almost 5 months later, I got the final investigation letter from ***** at *******. It states: "We reviewed your complaint. After further review, the producer your specific dental provider was not discussed in the enrollment phone call."This is an ******** lie. I remember giving **** the name and address of the providers, he looked them up on the web and found them and confirmed they were covered.The letter from Essense does not say how they determined "the producer your specific dental provider was not discussed in the enrollment phone call" Was it from talking with the Producer, or a voice recording of the call???I know the importance of having a plan with providers I have been working with for years and would NOT enroll in a plan if they were not covered.ON 4/26/2024, I was mailed a listing of providers, NONE are in the small city where I live and would require a considerable drive to and from the closest provider. You can bet I will be switching ******** Advantage plans when Open Enrollment comes around later this year.Essence Healthcare Response

WORST ****** EVER! Kills Clients to save$Approved & paid for all immune reboot tests etc 1/12/24 My last chance to live. Procedure was set for 1/29 & Essence Cancelled 1/28 Denying twice for bogus reasons:1. Stem Cells not needed for a reboot? You die with no immune system immediately and without new stem cells, I'd never have an immune system again. Why get 15 High-Level chemo doses in days, no cancer, It's my last chamce to LIVE and without my own stem cells to reboot, then I due even quicker than now and with tons of Chemo H*** on top of my existing Stiff Persons Syndrome ****, ******************* can tell you about and she's only had my disease 14 months not 7.5 years with SEVERE SPS PERM Avg lifespan 6 to 8 *********** at 7.5 years already, thus the urgency of this immune reboot study I'm in.2. Be in the Study I'm already in it? So how does this change? I qualified and was accepted into the study, was only located in ****** as Seattlr branch closed, ***************** now at Northwestern. *********** headed up ****** study, same and only Stiff Persons Syndrome Study.Family and I flew out spent a week taking tests etc for study. Was qualified as having worst version of Stiff Persons Syndrome, SEVERE or PERM Why I'm on COMPASSIONATE PERMANENT DISABILITY vs Normal PD, look up the difference!!! Compassionate PD means 1. Uncurable disease 2. Progressive, always gets worse 3. Always Deadly, no cure 4. Death in a short period of time Have to meet all above 4 to get Compassionate PD and SPS, my disease QUALIFIES Yet ESSENCE I stilldenied my procedure and all appears & grievances without ever talking to 1 of my Dr's otherwise they'd know It IS THE STUDY I'm doing at Siteman vs ****** to SAVE EVERYONE $Study CLOSED 12/31/23 so ****** moved me to Siteman as I have to have this procedure and fast. As well felt I deserved it and STUDY CLOSED so now am in it and good! Gave Essence all Dr's name's, ph#'s explanations for 8 months then to yank the rug oit of my life day ofEssence Healthcare Response

Essence Healthcare's on-line portal for OTC benefits is designed in such a way as to discourage consumers from using it. It is not user friendly, especially considering that their clientele tends to non-computer tech savvy. Overall, and this includes their networking, they deserve a grade of C-.Review from Carolyn B

Yes, some of the staff is unpleasant like the person I just spoke with that said her name is "D" After I explained the problem she continually spoke over me when asking questions. Actually she seemed I was bothering her, finally I tired of her and hung up. Never had to do that with a customer service person at ******************** before. My complaint was this server working flex card they sent to me. My granddaughters went to ******* and order 4 cartons of same thing card was only good for 2 cartons and had to pay $25. to get other two. Enough money was on the card to pay for all 4 but kicked 2 cartons back. This is the third time and if you call WEX that's a joke also. They don't put your call through line just goes dead and that's the number on their website. October is very near thinking about switching carriers.Review from Teresa S

I got to Dr **** and never have had any issue with the essence Health care, I have received fantastic service from any one I have delt with from Dr, receptionist, medical assistants, on the phone, after hours exchange. I have Medicare plan this year first year and I am sticking with this health care. Best choice made in long time.Review from Donna O

At first we heard great things about this HMO. But right off the bat we noticed some discrepancies like over course of 3 months they kept making mistakes printing out ID cards, and billing mistakes, payments not getting processed in time. Our docters network dropped a rival HMO for essence and to keep our own doctor we had to switch to essence. The latest problem is the billing issue where one **** was ***** which is a normal amount but the second **** was over 300 dollars. We did not get any notices about a payment not getting through. The **** states last month's payment didnt go through. We always pay every **** sent to us. Something is not right. We have decided to withhold paying the **** for now. I fear next month's **** will be over 400 dollars. We have emailed customer service, awaiting a reply back
