Steer clear of this business. Because their botched installation of my AC occurred in 2018 and took 2 1/2 years to fail and damage my home, the BBB will let this sham of a business skate. The evening of June 14, 2021, my wife frantically contacted me at the Pentagon where I work as a US Army Officer to tell me there was a substantial leak in the second floor ceiling, which caused extensive dry wall damage. I realized the AC unit in the attic was the only thing that could be the source of the leak and called the company who installed it, McCrea Heating & Air Conditioning Services of VA, LLC, for emergency service. Although they advertise 24/7 service, they would not come out till the following day. I then called at least another ten AC companies who advertise 24/7 service and only one, ******* ******* ** ******, responded that night at 11 PM. They took a photo of the AC unit in the attic showing the unit was installed incorrectly as the condensation line is attached to the secondary line. I showed the McCrea technician the photo the following day and he confirmed the unit was not installed properly. This repair cost me $*** and McCrea has ignored my calls and email to be reimbursed for their botched installation. They’re incompetence is only outshone by complete disdain for their customers or, in this case, victims. I look forward to seeing them in court.
