I have been a resident at Sunwood Apartments (55+) for 8 months. It is managed by Shelton Residential. If this is property management, then you should never choose this company. I tried to file a complaint with them about how this complex is being neglected, and they barely even sent an acknowledgment. They forwarded my comments to the on-site manager who got upset when she read my comments. I hardly thought that was a decent thing to do. They never did a thing. The on-site manager reluctantly started taking small steps to rectify some things, but others just were barely acknowledged. The hot tub and pool (which they so proudly advertise on the front lawn) are a shambles. The hot tub had green water and black mold on the bottom all through winter. The pool wasn't heated. The manager argued with me that it was 85 degrees. I bought a thermometer and tested the water. It was 65 in January. The heater had stopped. They didn't even know it. The pool is never cleaned. The trees around the pool need trimming back as they dump a lot of debris which gets in the pool. There was grass growing out of the sides! There is currently 2 bees nests in the edges of the pool and the pool had black growing on the bottom. The bees prevent you from using the pool and it's nearly a 100 degrees outside! My point is that this "Shelton Residential" is a poor management company. They did absolutely nothing to acknowledge or check up on my complaints. They take people's money and don't do the maintenance. The laundry room has had broken washers (5 out 9) for months. One was left with standing water inside the washer for 2+ weeks! They mow the lawn and blow the sidewalks off and that's it. The water here has been shut off multiple times due to leaks. All day with no water for residents! They have flooding sprinklers that don't shut off and flood up against the building in summer. There never has been any hot water at my kitchen sink. BAD SHELTON-Shame on You!!!
