Scammers. Shut down the location by me without any notice. Then switched my membership and doubled my fees. Had to go in person to cancel and was refused a refund for the amount billed I did NOT agree to.Review from Olia J

The worst gym. Dirty. Equipment is bad. Instructors are not educated in what they teach. Not enough classes. Read fine print of your agreement. Especially about any fee and when you cancel they don't care when you cancel they still keep the money for the whole month plus the month you paid when you signed up. Ridiculous managers. LA fitness personal training is a nightmare no one is ever on time. I wanted to cancel my contract. I called on May 21. It is now April 15 and no one even calls me back regarding my issues issues. I even spoke to a supervisor ***** in *************** after I spoke to her again today, I called ********* who was in charge. She said she couldnt talk to me right now. She would call me after four. She never called me back, you can never reach anyone to schedule or all they want is your money they dont care anything about you or your training or fitnessReview from Simsek M

I used LA Fitness for some time in my previous address. Since I moved to another address, I tried the one close to my address and I really didn't like it. I wanted to cancel my membership and I couldn't find a way to do so.As it passed the beginning of month, they tried to charge me. Luckily my credit card on file was expired. Then they kept calling me to update my payment method. I told them I'm not using their services and I want to cancel my membership. They told me I have to pay the balance that I didn't get any service for then I should send a request by mailing.Review from Frances H

My experience with LA Fitness is good with regards to personnel and equipment. I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND AGAINST TRAINING. The trainer was great, My complaint is that due to health issues my trainer cancelled on 20 sessions. When I got to the end of my 1 year contract, the only way I could use the 20 sessions was to buy more time. Regardless of there policy if I have paid for time and due to no fault of my own I still should receive the time. BUYER BEWARE!!Review from Jason l

Literally the manager is rude. He is an old looking I think white guy. He tried and force us to become a member under pressure. He won't respect your opinion. If you try to leave and not make a membership because of price he will be rude and starts to make up things. Since we see that the membership compared to other gyms, we just wanted to think about and he said "I don't gonna waste my time, bye". When we about to leave the gym he came to us and said "You guys can go to what ever lafitness and will get the same price I gave you since I marked in the system and make sure you guys don't get another offer". Literally, this manager should be fire. Super rude and disrespectful. How this guys even engage people to sign up with that s***** attitude. Good afternoon today 08/04/24 at 10:45 a young boy with a laughing white hair who was at the reception behaved very rude and derogatory with me and my guests because a confusion when we grabbed the menbrecia they told us that we could come 4 people I understand that any person can be confused but the fact of being rude to his customers I think it is very bad taste I have been in that gym for more than 3 years and they have always treated me very well but that boy seemed too rude and disrespectful to me in the way he spoke to usReview from GILBERTO B

As a dedicated member of LA Fitness, I'm deeply disappointed by the state of this particular gym at 40 Goldsborough Dr Bayonne NJ. Despite its promising location, the maintenance and cleanliness standards fall well below expectations. Employees neglect their duties, leaving equipment scattered and essential areas unclean. The lack of effective management is evident, leading to a consistently subpar experience for customers like myself. Given the ongoing issues and the risk they pose, I urge corporate management to intervene promptly before the situation worsens any further and to make concerted efforts to improve the overall experience for their loyal customers.Review from Andrew R
