my boyfriend and i were trying to buy a house. we are first time buyers. we are 20 and 21. we have a 11 month old and a new one due july. my bfs mom recently diagnosed with leukemia. if we need to take guardian ship if the younger kids buying a home would allow us to prove we can take car of the children who are younger than 18. knowing this the lenders took advantage of us. both ***** and i are commission based workers. we both have not been employed for 2 years. the lenders kept waiting for exceptions brushing us off. they then told us we must pay off our ****** car loan to get the mortgage. we told them we could not. then they said wait we have another exception were waiting on. they then told us our dti was 3% higher than it should be. okay give us the denial letter. with the mortgage, pmi and additional insurance mortgage is above **** which i originally was told **** but never locked in rates which jumped again! they said were waiting for an exception. we had to wait. fast forward we were given a, lack of better words, ******** denial letter stating we have insufficient funds. they then SpOke to the sellers, which then offered a $10000 concession, which my attorney told him not to speak to them because its a breach of privacy. my attorney informed me that can affect getting my $7,000 deposit back. we signed contracts with contingency of obtaining a loan. the lenders spoke to the sellers, when they were told not to by our attorneys. they lied to me and brushed me off 100 times trying to get this exception, that exception. just buying time. now we have a denial letter that is unacceptable. we need our deposit back. we have a baby now and another on the way. we cannot not get it back.
