I got a splitter so I could connect two devices to the *** port at the same time in my Toyota Sienna but it wasn't working I brought it to Queenboro Toyota - where I bought the vehicle in November 2015. They charged me $159 just to check the diagnostics. I mentioned another issue thinking that it wouldn't be a big deal but without proper transparency they charged another $159. Had I known I would've said 'no.' The diagnostice people advised me to replace the *** port, giving me the false impression that this would solve the problem. I agreed to it and I was charged $320.35 plus sales tax. After the work was done, the problem was still present so I brought it back. This time they concluded that the voltage is not sufficient for two devices at the same time. I subsequently looked at the notes and this was the intial conclusion before reccommending that the *** port be replaced. I deserve at least a partial refund. They should have warned me that there was no guarantee of success when they reccommended replacement of the *** portand the extra $159 for a second idagnostic issue was charged unethically. It was wrong to charge me close to $700 for fixing nothing! I mentioned this when I picked up my vehicle on June 22, 2023 but I was told that these complaints go though the manager and he was out. I asked that my message be conveyed to him when he returns but over a week has passed and I haven't heard from this individual.
