Terrible company with terrible leadership. Short story is, I had worked with Northrop Grumman for five years and had only great performance reviews. I loved my job. I was driving approximately 6 hours per day to be on site. I also had a work from home waiver on file with HR. While working for the company I lost my father to Multiple Myeloma cancer. I took the weekend and returned back to work on Monday. Fast forward two years-ish and my widowed mother was diagnosed with Parkinson's and was needing extra help, so I been working remotely more often, with my bosses approval of course. I have been doing this schedule for more than six months. At the time, I was also a Junior attending University full-time online for my BS in Electrical Engineering. Well, one disgruntled employee - an employee with a history of complaints and having previously got one other contractor fired - made a complaint to HR that I was not showing up to work. My manager played ignorant and didn't back me up. He only had a staff of five other employees and claimed he was unaware of my attendance issues. Please tell me how you miss that for months on end with only five employees to keep track of? Basically, I ended up choosing to leave the company because of the allegations. But after COVID and this job loss wrecked havoc on my finances, upset with the situation, I took to writing the company CEO, Kathy. I explained my situation, how I had documented proof of my claim, and what losing that job cost me. My situation today is that I am homeless, on UI and EBT now. I was forced to drop out of school having owed more than $7k in past tuition. I have lost 3 credit cards because of failure to pay. I have more than 100K in debt from loans, student loans, credit cards. When I shared my story with Kathy I was hoping for an investigation, but the company didn't care to look into my complaint. Kathy only once responded to me saying she would have someone look into it but then I never heard from her again. I wrote again to Kathy asking if I could have my job back. Telling her that I wanted to get back to work. I received no response. Nobody at Northrop wanted to investigate the circumstances surrounding my departure nor look at what information I had to prove my account. Working for this company was the single worst decision I have ever made in my life. They have ruined me financially and emotionally. And I am beyond upset with the company CEO for her lack of regard for her employee's well being. If it were not for the SOL I would sue this company for my separation under duress.
