I bought a used engine for my **** *** 525i on 01/15/2024 from a car wreckyard called 'A German *************************************************** in ********, **. At the time of purchase they said the engine is very good and clean. The engine was delivered to my mechanic's shop called 'Primuim European Auto Repair' on 01/16/2024 in the afternoon. Before delivering the engine they told both myself and my mechanic that they are washing the engine with gasoline to clean it. This raised a red flag!On 01/17/2024 my mechanic checked the inside of the engine by removing the Valve Cover. He noticed a lot of oil sludge inside the engine. He notified me on the same day. I went to his shop and we looked at the engine together and decided not to use it and install it on my car because of the excessive oil sludge inside the engine. We took pictures from inside the engine showing the sludge, and also the engine number to document all the facts. We then called 'A German Auto' on 01/17/2024 and notified them of the condition of the engine and told them that we like to return the engine. They agreed and they said that they will go to my mechanic shop on 01/18/2024 and pick up the engine and then return my money.On 01/18/2024 I went to 'A German Auto' approximately at 08:30 in the morning and told them that I would like to return the engine, and asked them to please return my money. Despite the fact that they had agreed on 01/17/2024 over the phone that they will return the engine, the owner of the wreckyard got angry with me and started yelling at me saying that he will not do the return. He started calling me names and got very aggressive. I told them that they have a 30 day warranty, and if they don't return the engine that I will take legal action against them. At that point I left the wreckyard and contacted my mechanic and told him that they don't want to return the engine and give my money back despite their 30 day warranty on the engine. They need to return the engine immediately, and reimburse me.
