              When we refinanced with Rocket Mortgage about two years ago (the loan is my mother's), we already had a loan with them. They convinced ** to refinance to get a better interest rate. All that was fine. However, they FAILED to carry over ALL the current tax entities to the new loan. The loan was the same type, same everything, but just a lower interest rate. But, they left out the city taxes and only included the county taxes. So, of course, they weren't paying the city taxes even though the bills were being sent to them. I still don't understand why the receipt of the bills wouldn't prompt them to contact us to inquire. The city was only sending the bills to them and not to us so we weren't aware this was an issue. I happened to notice on my own that the city hadn't been paid for two years when I reviewed her latest escrow analysis. I called the city and they confirmed she was delinquent. After speaking with Rocket, they informed me they would pay the two years of taxes and we would fix the issue going forward by taking more of an escrow amount each month to account for the shortage. Again, no problem there. BUT THEY WON'T PAY THE PENALTIES OR INTEREST that the city has charged; they only paid the the amounts due (and they used the "early" payment amounts as well...our city gives a discount if you pay early and those were the amounts that were paid for the two years.) I feel that since THEY are the ones who FAILED to carry over the correct taxing authorities to the new loan that they should be responsible for the penalties and interest.

              I recently just wasted months of my time, I applied spoke to one person and was told yeah you shoukd qualify for about 174,00 ..this was after running my credit and reviewing my app, so I am like ok great!! Never heard anything, waited for a pre approval.letter so after weeks I called them back and spoke to someone else who than said they couldn't proceed cause there was a dispute on my credit, ok well rather than wasting more time I went ahead and the same day paid what I owed for the dispute..I was than told I needed to wait for the credit report to reflect that and that I'd get a call from.someone on *************** to advise me..in the meantime a few more weeks go by and I pay off some more debt..call them back to get a status and was asked for more documents, and than told I would only be approved for ******* ok it is what it is..so send in most recent bank statement after already sending the 2 months prior..and was told everything looks good and I am sending it over to underwriting..very next day ***** an email stating that my loan was denied cause I had one over draft on my bank account..than told me if my credit score went up 14 more points than that guideline would go away..even though I had over draft protection..just forgot something was coming out, it was paid and a payroll.deposit rhe next day. So I wasted months cause the right hand doesn't know what the left hand is doing..seems to.me if they can't push that 1 percent down promotion that I am sure is somehow a.scam that they don't want to bother with you..they treat you as if you are a number. I wish I would have thoroughly investigated the reviews ahead of time, but they sent me a pre qualification invitation to.apply so I never thought it would go this horrible. Stay away ..they aren't interested innhelping unless you have perfect credit and they can scam you! Go. Local ..I'll be telling everyone and anyone in the market to RUN!!!
