I lived at ******** on the Avenue in **********, ************** for one year. This was the single worst living experience of my life. This place is nothing short of a ***** motel! I was unable to cook in this apartment without fear of leaving something on the counter and having bugs crawling all over it. On multiple occasions, I had bugs crawling on me in my sleep. I had to discard all of my small appliances because of infestation. Additionally, I had some irreplaceable artwork that was damaged. I had to take a week off to package everything I own in plastic to make sure that these unwelcome residents were not transferred from the property to my new apartment.Even with repeated pest control treatments, the bug problem persisted. They were living in the walls. Additionally, the day I moved in the elevators were down and I had to pay an extra $500 to have my movers move my things to the second floor apartment. It took them six months to repair this elevator. there were routinely boisterous parties at the pool that went laid into the evening and the cops had to be called on multiple occasions to shut them down. Management of this property changed three times during the course of my lease. The first manager was not responsive and made promises with no follow through. Later, I was told that she had not documented any of our conversations or any follow up measures. The second manager was there just over a month as far as I can tell and I still received no resolution. I was told despite my thorough documentation and photo evidence, they could not issue a refund because it would be consistent with fair housing act. I cannot stress enough this company is uncaring and incompetent. They have no business being in the rental business.
