    My 17 year old son purchased an Oil Filter Housing Unit (Order # Order *******) from RM European. My son received the part, but realized that he needed something different. He submitted a return request to RM European, which was approved. We paid for the item to be shipped back to the company, since they didn't cover shipping costs. He shipped the item back in a new box (not the manufacturer box). When the item was received, a man named Art stated that the item was not returnable/refundable because it was shipped in a manufacturer box. This is not accurate and not true. I helped my son pack the item to ship back! The company is trying avoid having to refund my son his money. Terrible customer service and a refusal to stand by their return policy. We want a full refund for the Oil Filter Housing Unit.

    This business does not believe in customer service, what they believe in is asking customers to write only positive reviews. There are many positive reviews of them out there, but a deep dive shows that when there's a problem they have frequently treated their customers with disrespect.I needed a new fuel filter to get my X5 on the road for my holiday trip. On Tuesday morning before Christmas I called **european and confirmed with a rep that they had the filter I needed in stock in all of their ********** warehouses and it could go out immediately. The website assured that meant same day. So I ordered it paying extra for 1-2 day shipping which I believe should have gotten it to me by Wednesday or Thursday latest (ground from LA usually gets to me in 1 day and there was no caveat that Christmas shipping might be slow or there was any reason not to expect the promise to be met). The ** website said it was shipped at 9 pm Tuesday, but NEVER provided me with a tracking number-it said there could be a 24 hour delay so I kept checking back. It didn't arrive on Thursday so first thing Friday morning I called them, but they were closed (without warning) . So I emailed them through their **************** form but nearly a week later I had not gotten any response. (It did arrive late in the day on Friday, but the carrier, not a normal one, left it where I didn't see it and since I didn't have a tracking number I had no way of knowing it was there). So when I got an email from them asking for a "positive" review on ******* I posted a two star one.After I posted the review, the Owner/Manager of **European, Art, wrote to me. He refunded my shipping which, had it come with an apology for not communicating earlier would have made me a fan. But instead he insulted me, called me unfair and denied all responsibility, then asked me to take down my review because he has a "small company". It felt like the shipping refund was only meant to be a bribe. I wrote back to him and said I'd be happy to edit my review to reflect getting the shipping back and explained why I felt that when his company promised to get it to me in 1-2 days they had some responsibility for seeing that it got here. Art wrote back that he doesn't want my business. He said customer- vendor is a two way street. i totally agree, but my responsibility ended when I paid him. His responsibility was to get it to me on time. But he seems to think I have a responsibility to write a positive review.I stand by my review. If a business promises to get something there by a certain date, fails to provide a promised tracking number and doesn't tell you they will be closed all day on Christmas Eve and then doesn't bother to respond to your **************** request they at least owe you an apology. But this business says they don't want me if I won't leave a good review. But they ask all of their customers to leave a "positive" review. Buyer beware.

    We do apologize for the bad experience here. Unfortunately delays do happen around the holidays and that was the case in this instance. We were into peak Covid-19 season and the world and shipping was still evolving. The customers package was a couple days late, but they were refunded in full for the shipping paid on the order. Issues like these are few and far between.
