Pella Windows and Doors left the voice mail for the confirmation on 3/29/2024 regarding the window installation on 4/2. She siad it was on 4/1, but at the end of the voice mail, she rephrased that the contractor will show up between 8:30 and 9:30 am on 4/2/2024 as we requested. No one showed up or no phone call during the time frame. I called up Pella after 11 am and the receptionist told me that they must have been on the way. She called me back and told me that he said it was not on his calendar. He was putting the date on 4/3, not the 2nd. I told her that I wanted to cancel this contract and get refund or would like to have some compensation. Two hours later, she called me back again and told me that I couldn't get out the contract. There was no refund, nor compensation. She suggested that I called the sales person, so I left the message. I got a call from him and he said the same thing that I couldn't get out the contract, nor refund. I believe that Pella broke the contract, not us, after the confirmation we received, which was installed on 4/2/2024. I don't have available time easily. I really want to have full refund when we didn't make any errors on my side. Plus, this experience makes me not to deal with this company at all. ****** ** *****Review from Carol P

Install left damage inside and out. When I complained, tech was unsympathetic to fit up. After spending over $10000 for 4 windows, VERY disappointed. 2 calls to service, sent pictures and now 6 weeks after install, still no response from Pella.Review from Jeffry R

I purchased 4 Pella windows that leaks water on the inside tracks when it rains since they were installed on 4/27/23. I notified Pella about this issue, and they sent 2 service men out at different times. The last service person cut the bottom of the frame out so that the water could drain and now all I have is windows full of bugs that are crawling from the outside int the opening that was cut by the service technician. I contacted Pella and ask them to replace the windows instead they are attempting to file a mechanic lien to collect the remainder of the money owed.Review from Joyce P

Worst customer service I have ever dealt with. Promised to return phone calls and never do. I learned the hard way, read the warranty before purchasing window products from them. We purchased vinyl window from them with Life Time Warranty. Only to find out when our vinyl frames around the windows were turning black and nothing took it off, that only has 2 year warranty. If this is so why would you sell them in the hottest part of the county. Told me to go back to where we purchased them. They wouldn't even send someone to look at the unless I paid $275.00. Buyer beware.Review from Joyce M

We ordered Pella windows for our new home and were told they would take 3 to 4 months to come in. Seven months later we got our windows. Ok, fine I do understand life after Covid. But the many damaged windows are unacceptable, the welds at the corners are razor blade sharp on many of the windows. Latches were put on in the wrong places to where you could not lock the windows. Some latches had many holes drilled but yet sent us the windows anyway. Our transom was bowed at the top and bottom. We have had Pella out to our home at least 5 to 6 times and no one is taking care of the problems nor do they care. Worse company I have ever had to deal with. We had to order a new panel for one of our sliding glass doors because of the built in blind lever was broke. We are on our third try as they have sent the wrong one not once but twice and managed to damage the good panel this last trip. To say the lease this has been a nightmare from hell dealing with a company that truly doesn’t give a S___. I have spent approx $24,000 on Pella windows, and was excited to get them as my husband wanted Wincore. it is now over a year since this entire mess has started, has held us up from getting the home completed due to many windows having to be completely replaced. And where are we with Pella? No further along. Customer Service is insane to say the least. The dead give away was seeing Pella trucks in our neighborhood from several homes that have been built before ours and they have been occupied well over a year but Pella trucks are often at the homes. I could kick my self for not noticing that sooner. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND TO NOT USE PELLA WINDOWS IT IS TRULY A JOKE TO DEAL WITH. ABSOLUTELY UP THE LINE REALLY DONT CARE THEY GOT THEIR MONEY. I’m totally sick over it.Review from Jennifer W

The regional sales team at Gunton Corporation, Greg, Luke and Ed - representing Pella Windows is unprofessional and provides a terrible customer experience. The team measured every window in our house three times. Turns out that on Installation day, just 4 windows fit. They set incorrect expectations for delivery of the new windows, proactive communication was non-existent. We had exposed brick, missing molding for 7 months - only communication I received was after multiple follow up attempts. Pella held our deposit for 51 weeks...and, could only apologize for our inconvenience. I escalated and the team approved a very small credit toward our final bill. I would never recommend the Gunton Corporation - not worth the hassle and frustration. However, the installers - Rich and his team were fantastic. Professional, timely and set the appropriate expectations for the experience. After multiple conversations, emails over a 12 month period - not one follow up from the Pella/Gunton team post-installation. The team could benefit from baseline customer service training.Review from Paul S

Don’t know how they have a A+ rating. They installed windows that are seemingly the wrong size. Used quarter round molding to cover up their flaws so much so that I am unable to hang blinds in the windows. After months of waiting anxiously for new windows we finally got notice that they were going to install them. When they installed them they left pieces of metal all over the ground for my young children and dogs to cut themselves and to step on and replaced the windows with clunky moldings that caused the inability to hang blinds in the frame as you could with any other window. They the. Suggested they could fix the molding that they messed up by charging us labor and materials to fix their mistake. How do you charge someone more to fix something that you messed up.Review from William J

Pella advertises a lifetime warranty, but getting customer service on my Pella Windows recently was nearly impossible. After a February 2021 request to repair or replace a malfunctioning window, the first appointment was more than two months later. That attempt failed, and the technician forced the window closed, but it would not fully close, leaving a cold draft. Parts were "unavailable" and then "backordered" for months. Meanwhile I received two invoices for the service in April 2021. Those invoices eventually were cancelled, but the parts did not arrive until December 2021, and an appointment was scheduled for January. Because of a death in the family, I had to reschedule, which they were unable to do until March 17, 2022! Only after I sent a letter of complaint February 19 to the president of Gunton Corporation did they find a cancellation and finally repair the window on March 4, 2022. It is still stiff, but it works, which is why I give them two stars instead of one.Review from Devon C.

My overall experience has been extremely frustrating and disappointing. Windows installed in in my home, June 2021 had many obvious manufacturing flaws that I noticed and had to request repair of after installation. First, the quality is not what I was expecting. Second, the installation was problematic and took several visits to make satisfactory. Third, I am still requiring repairs many months later for malfunctioning parts. I am currently trying to negotiate a rebate amount that I am comfortable with. Instead of enjoying my new windows, they remind me of this unacceptable experience and what may go wrong next.
