ABC Plumbing Heating Cooling Electric is in the HVAC industry which is understood to negotiate prices. The company does not dispute this point. The BBB requested for the business to cease this claim in light of Section 14.3 as they negotiate prices.
Section 14 of the BBB Code of Advertising states:

14.3.1 The product or service to be purchased usually is sold at a price arrived through bargaining, rather than at a regular fixed price; or

Thank you for providing your experience. To be clear I did not deny assisting you. I provided the warranty protocol that most HVAC companies adhere to. I would have been more than happy to assist but it is the responsibility of the company who holds the warranty. In situations such as these we will only charge for labor as we did not install the unit and it is not under warranty with ABC. Per protocol, the customer pays for the service with the company performing the repair and then takes the receipt/invoice to the company holding the warranty and the customer is reimbursed for the cost of the parts. This is not a personal choice it is the way HVAC companies do business. Have a wonderful day.
