    People's *** of ******** has failed in every aspect of accepting and communicating payment for *** Utilities service. I am not sure what the legal and ethical expectations are for a company around the way they bill, collect, and communicate around payments; however, People's *** has ineffective systems in all (3) areas of billing. I am near certain they fall short in their systems, infrastructure, and communication around billing to the point where it is unacceptable, irresponsible, and unethical to the consumer. I have paid every Utility in my life on time. I have setup every account that I can on autopay to ensure of this. People's *** has committed multiple errors in their system and communication in the handling of my account. People's *** ******** appears to utilize ************** Systems as their 3rd party billing partner. This 3rd party company has indicated to me multiple times over a 6-month period that enrolling in autopay over the phone is possible. On the contrary, anytime I have followed up with People's *** their agents have indicated not only that I have been not enrolled, but that it is not possible to do so to enroll in autopay with their agents after payment. Upon inquiring about the right way to enroll in autopay, I was told to create an account with my account number. The People's *** agent did not provide the right account number, instead giving me an old and closed account number. In addition, the 3rd party company does not have access to the account number information or even the accurate balance of the account when attempting to pay. If attempting to pay via automated voice input, the voice collection (keypad entering is not enabled) does not function properly and times out. In addition, People's *** does not send any email or text updates about billing status. I would like my account taken care of and closed through People's ***.

    The worst customer ********************** I have ever experienced.In the year 2023 it is unbelievable to me that they have enough technicians out to shut off gas but not enough to come back out and turn it back on. They are the only option for gas in ******* and that is why they can get away with what they do.
