We purchased a home for Meritage Homes in late December 2022. We have a contract that has repairs and timeframe embedded within it that Meritage is supposed to honor. They have not honored their end of the contact. We have had several issues since we moved into the home. Meritage Needs to honor their construction contact and finish the repairs that are due on our home. Meritage also needs to honor our time. We took off 2 previous days for repairs back in January 2024, and they only used one day for the repairs. They came back later and requested 2 more additional days for us to be off for repairs, and they did not utilize the other days. Now they have pending repairs that can all be contracted for the same day, but they are refusing to complete the on the same day, and ***************** is really not customer driven, so it is almost like he tries to make it hard when you have to call corporate or escalate issues. Also, there is no real escalation process with Meritage. Once you call corporate and speak with someone, they ghost you and do not follow back up. Below is a list of some of the repairs that have not been corrected on our home. Some have been corrected and even after corrections the issues were not addressed appropriately, and they are still needing to be mended. Nails were left where the nail pops were and they have come back through the ceiling, under the sink is still gapped, floors are still making noises, fireplace is gapped, cabinet in kitchen, ceiling seams show through the drywall, and the back porch has holes it the cement. They have been there since we moved, and we filed a complaint. Meritage need to get some new contractors if they are not going to uphold their end. While the contractors were present, they missed several of the repairs, and you can tell they were rushed. They created issues within my house leaving paint on the floors, leaving uneven paint spots on the walls, and also hand printings on my paint.
