    On 3/29 our hot water heater blew up and there was 73 gallons of water spraying at the drywall that connects to our 3k square foot home that is all hard wood flooring. Despite shutting off every water valve inside and out, the 73 gallons of pressurized water in that tank wouldn't stop spraying out of the side of the unit. Knowing there was already the beginning of water/flood damage occurring my husband called platinum. The solution they provided was they could try to get someone out in 72 hours. Knowing the extent of the damage that had already occurred and would continue he tried to express the emergency situation in which the woman on the phone could have cared less. In the mean time I was calling plumbers and did get Rooter Ranger and they were able to get to our house in less than ********************************************************* but wasn't sure why she was calling me back on 4/10. I helped to remind her of the situation and she said I should have shut the water off to my house and to the water heater. I DID... She then advised that they don't cover anything outside of their service and also don't cover secondary damage. so flooding my home, ruining walls and flooring to utilize their service in 3 days however, they won't cover that damage. If it was just not getting hot water to the home for 3 days I understand. We had an active flood in our home in which they feel is completely fine. We have had this warranty for nearly 10 years and this is the service we received. Without any attempt at a service recovery plan.

    The business gave me the run around. Lied to me every step of the way. They refused to fix the problem leaving me without AC for a month. I had hire someone myself to fix it. Then they tried to take credit for me choosing a company that I had a service contract with. I paid for everything. The warranty company didn't pay for anything. The warranty company was scamming me all the way. They parts they pulled out of the system were cleaned parts. They were broken but clean.

    We sincerely apologize for the frustration experienced with your recent claim, and we acknowledge that the outcome is not perhaps one that is desired, but we sincerely hope this helps to clarify. On April 15, 2024 we received a request to service your A/C system - due to it making a loud noise. A tech was scheduled April 22, 2024. The diagnosis came back with quite a few parts that were needing attention. 
    Per the diagnosis "Found indoor blower motor wheel broken and motor compromised - System is covered in Mold, Dirt and Grime. An excess buildup of dust and grime can cause serious damage to the blower that could be prevented with routine maintenance The blower motor is responsible for distributing conditioned air throughout your home. Regularly inspect and clean the blower motor and its components, such as the fan blades and housing. Dust and debris accumulation can reduce airflow efficiency and strain the motor causing breakdowns and failure 
    Consequently, this claim was denied due to lack of maintenance. The servicer provided you with a retail quote and you agreed to have them take care of these items in order to get your system up and running. Someone from our team reached out to follow up with you after the service was completed and you stated it is working but had to pay for it yourself. Unfortunately maintenance and cleaning are not a covered service and out of pocket cost will be the consumers responsibility. Again we want to apologize for the frustration experienced and look forward to providing you with quality service and gain your trust with Super for any future claims .
