I've been a Platinum customer for years but will not be renewing. You think you're covered when you're appliance fails but you're not. Read the contract details carefully and realize how many ways they have to deny your claim. Not worth the annual cost. Also, be aware that you're on the hook for the $75 service fee, even if they later deny your claim and all the technician did was show up and take a picture. They don't tell you what's covered and what's not when you call with a problem and they could be transparent with the customer when the claim is initiated. It also took a week for them to reply back that my claim was denied (you'll be left waiting with a broken appliance in the meantime). Worthless warranty unless you have the perfect scenario that they are forced to cover.Review from Arleen P

When I purchased my home I purchased a Platinum home warranty and I am so glad I did. My dishwasher built working after a couple of times I used it. 1 call to Platinum home warranty and I received a new dishwasher. The service was exceptional and from start to finish was so easy. The installer was excellent and I am so pleased with this warranty co. I give them 5 stars !Platinum Home Warranty Response

I use Platinum Home Warranty for all of my home appliance repair and maintenance needs. In autumn of each year, I contact Platinum for a check-up / maintenance of my HVAC system. The technicians arrive promptly and were courteous while they performed their work. They found a low capacitor and replaced it. Ok - who doesn't hate looking for a home warranty?!? Never on the top of anyone's list. I did lots of research and came across Platinum a couple of years ago. Decided to give them a chance. I like that they have their own in house employees for services. I am not sure about all services but so far I do know for **. We had to use them at our previous house and after they came out I received a call from Platinum checking on the service. I about fell out of my chair. Never have I received a call asking how the service was! And it was good. We moved and I went with Platinum again. We included a water softner in our new plan, when it started to leak I called. For some reason when our house was built it was put outside and not in the garage so Platinum wouldn't cover but she gave ** a credit for that portion that we signed up for without having to ask. I had to call again due to the ** and long story short, it was fixed and I received another call asking how the service was. Don't get me wrong, I am sure Platinum has its issues like all warranty companies but so far we love them.Platinum Home Warranty Response

We received Platinum Home Warranty with the purchase of our new home. We began to smell an odor when we turn our A/C unit on. We did some research and called an A/C company and they said it could be electrical and a fire hazard. We called Platinum to have our A/C tune-up as it is starting to get warmer in **. They told ** we missed the tune-up season. Apparently, the dates are 3/1-4/30. As new customers, we did not receive any emails on these dates. The customer service rep said they went out but we did not receive anything. They would not send a technician out to do a tune-up but only to check for mechanical failure. There is no failure with the unit but there could be electrical issues somewhere in the home due to the A/C being turned on and the customer service rep said that they will not check that. I asked her if our home caught fire due to this issue and burned down would they cover any losses and to my and my wife's shock she said "no." So we clearly have an issue that needs to be checked and our home warranty will not check for it. Needless to say, we will not be renewing our service with them once our year is up. In AZ the heat does not start until *** and the fact that they will not schedule customer A/C tuneups in *** is mind-boggling.Review from Dana P

Great home warranty service. We had a bathroom leak and I called Platinum and within a few hours they had someone out who fixed the leak. The plumber was efficient and pleasant. I am glad to have this warranty for when things break, since we live in an older home.Review from Biljana A.

We have **** with Platinum Home Warranty since 2014 and since than we have our 3rd home with them. Every time we called and requested service it was handeled highly professional on the cistomer service and technocian side. Weve had Platinum Home Warranty for our two homes in **. It always gives up peace of mind when were home in ******** during the summer months. Weve had to use them on three occasions, each time the staff was professional, knowledgeable, and friendly. Each time corrective measures were provided in a timely manner, to our satisfaction.
