    On November 4th we had Window Medics out to measure for a small piece of broken frosted glass in our garage. I was asked to paid $206.23 for the glass and I would pay the rest on completion of the work. I then heard nothing from anyone for over a month. I then chased the company multiple times and didn't hear back. When you call them the people answering the phone state 'they are only an answering service' and will pass along your message. After much chasing from me I was finally contacted and told I need to wait 6 weeks for the glass to be ready. I then texted and called after 6 weeks and heard nothing. I contacted them again and was told ***** was back in Ottawa at the end of the week and would be in touch 'soon'. I have not heard anything back. Based on previous reviews this appears to be a trend with this company.

    I contracted Window Medics Ottawa to replace a living room window and paid a 50% deposit ($847.50) on July 18, 2024. Despite dozens of attempts to contact the company and its representatives over a number of months, the work was never completed, and my requests for resolution have been ignored. I have provided all relevant information in supporting documentation.

    I contacted this company via their website to request a quote to repair two windows in my home. That same day, I was contacted a short while later by a representative who asked me questions about the work I wanted done and I explained what it was as well as our hope the work could be done as soon as possible so that we could put our home up for sale. The representative asked if they could come by in the late afternoon to take a look and provide an estimate. The representative showed up at the agreed upon time, took a look, provided an estimate, set up an online invoice, and stated that the work could likely happen the following week or the week after at the latest. They requested a deposit of 50% in order to secure an appointment, which was paid in cash. The invoice has been updated to reflect the deposit, a technician assigned, but nobody has contacted us to schedule the appointment. We have contacted the company by phone twice and been told that a message has been left with head office. We have contacted the technician by text and voicemail. The technician told us they were too busy in the first week and would contact us to set something up during the second week. We are now past this deadline, being ghosted, and no appointment has been set.

    In February of 2024, I contacted window medics regarding an issue with a dining room window that was foggy/dirty on the inside. An agent came to take a look and determined they could treat it, rather than replace it. Later, a technician came and did the treatment and said it may take up to 6-8 weeks to improve ($315 paid). Several months later, the window had only become somewhat worse, again I contacted the company and the agent returned, determined the treatment did not work and we would have to replace the window. Under their warranty, the money used for the treatment would now be credited to the new window and I needed to deposit an additional 50% of the remaining purchase price which came to $480. This amount was paid right away. I was told the new window should be received by early September. It is now December, no sign of the window, and like other reviews I have read, no contact can be made with the company to get an update. I do note that the original agent who came to the house does respond by text although he is not responsible for the purchase and install. He assumes the window has not yet been received but he is not certain. I am simply looking to have the work continued/completed

    Hi, thank you for your correspondence and for trying.  I made some progress today, I sent them a ,essays this am telling them I was going to contact the police and report this as fraud.  This afternoon I received a phone call from someone named ***** from the company. He said they had a major contract that preoccupied them through the fall and he is now starting to get the rest of the business back in order. He promised to come by tomorrow to re-measure the window and verify the work and said they will be done by the end of the month. I will let you know how it goes and once again, thank you for all your efforts to help on this.

    Ok, so far so good, technician came today, re-measured the window and said the pane should be received by Jan 22 or Jan 29 and should be installed by end of month. I will let you know how it goes. He reiterated the story from yesterday, said he was put on a job that was su-posed to take three weeks and it took three months, showed me pictures etc.  thanks again. A

    ****** from Window Medics, in Ottawa, came to my home Oct 3, 2024 to give me an estimate on repairing window crank. He said it was an easy job and gave me the number for his technician, ****** who would schedule the job that week. He required a 50% deposit which I etransfered to him. I have not been able to reach rhe technician and ****** has washed his hands of the matter, saying there are no refunds. It has been over two months and no response. There are numerous similar reviews to mine on the ****** reviews site. They, or he, is clearly running a scam

    Contacted Window Medics Ottawa on May 04, 2024, for a glass replacement of a window and paid 50% or $500 upfront. It now Nov 29, 2024. This company appears to be nothing but a scam. Ive messages to the guy mentioned in my INVOICE and just promises They scheduled an install then never showed up. I'd like the window installed or my money back.

    On Octobre 10, 2024, I paid a deposit 50% for a window replacement. It has now been 2 months. The company won't answer my phone calls or emails. They scheduled an install then never showed up. I'd like the window installed or my money back.

    I called Window Medics to have a window repaired. Their "estimator" ****** came took measurements. He told me I needed to make a deposit of 50% so they could start the order and it would take up to 4 weeks to get the window and install it. I e-transferred the money. Over a month later and I have heard nothing from the company after multiple calls to ******, their main line and ***** the supposed technician. Sadly looking online I discovered that in my haste to get things done I didn't see that there were multiple scam reports about the company taking deposits and then leaving customers hanging. My requests for a refund have gone unheeded.

    After lengthy months of contacting multiple agencies to go after window medics, I received a refund for the money i gave them for services they never rendered.

    I signed a contract with this company to replace my windows and pay them $950.00 to get started on the job back in July 31, 2024. I have tried several calls to reach them with no response. It is now November and no work has been done or a return call. I want a full refund. Invoice 3219.

    One of the outside window panes of our patio door shattered on June 27. On Jul 3 I ordered a replacement pane for $750 and paid a $350 deposit on the understanding that it would **** * weeks to receive the window. I was trying told to contact the installer *****. He has not once answered any of my texts. I followed up at the end of August and was given an installation date of Sep 27 - a date that came and went with no communication from the company. I have contacted the company at least 5-6 times since then and always told seone will get back to me. Now I am facing winter with no patio window. I want a refund so I can del with another supplier or I want the window installed before it gets too cold.

    On Nov 15 the technician, ***** *******, sent me a text saying he hoped his colleague ****** had "resolved my problem". I replied to say no one had contacted me and my window had not yet been installed.  I've had no further contact.

    What can I do?  I plan to send the CEO a letter asking for a refund of my deposit within 15 days.  After which I will take them to small claims court and I will also report them to the police because I think they may be running a scam: collecting deposits and then "disappearing".  Is there anything else I can do?
