  Deceptive practices, fake contest, and aggressive responses
  — Avoid This Company!! I feel compelled to leave this review after my own,
  firsthand experience with this company, ****** * ******* ******* ** ********** *** *********** ******** **********. I entered a draw for a free
  item at a trade show and was later contacted and told I had won. However, when
  it came time to claim the prize, I was abruptly denied and told I was
  ineligible due to vague "policy" reasons that were never disclosed at
  the time of entry, never shared in writing, and don’t appear anywhere publicly.

  If you tell someone they’ve won a prize and then fail to deliver, you are

  I agreed to purchase the product after the demo. (I did not know I was going to be involved in a vacuum demo when they called to set up a time to drop off a small 'air purifier' which is actually a large diffuser.) The vacuum is supposed to act as an air purifier also, but the intake is too small for that and on higher speeds is very noisy. I cannot have so much noise in my house, nor is the machine able to do the job. I sent a letter cancelling the order on about day five of the ten days allowed to cancel. I never heard back from them, so I assumed it was taken care of. But no one came to pick up the vacuum. So after about a month I started calling the company. No one answered, ever. Finally, after a week, someone called me back and said I could not cancel as it was too late. I told them a letter was sent within five days. They said they would check but have never gotten back to me. I sent another letter to them with additional copies of my letter with proof that it had been sent to them on time. They never picked up the second letter and after three weeks it was returned to me. I sent the machine back to them via courier and they would not accept it, and it was returned to me. The first letter was not returned so I know they received it. They do not answer their phones. I wrote to their district overseer person but have not heard back. I believe they may have gone out of business, but they sent my info to a finance company to get the payment. I called and told the finance company that I have cancelled and sent them the proofs. They said that Pure Island Air needs to give them confirm that I cancelled. I need Pure Island Air to give that instruction to the finance company and to come and get their machine back. They didn't even ask me if I wanted to finance the machine or pay outright. I could have paid for it on the spot and it's a good thing I didn't. It is a good product for those who need it as a vacuum and who can take the noise.

  I recently purchased a $4000 air purification system from this company (it's actually a fancy vacuum).
  9 days after purchasing the vacuum, I changed my mind.
  I have called the phone number on the contract multiple times, no one answers, and I can't leave a message. I have faxed the number on the contract, but it is actually a phone number.
  They lure you in with the promise of a free gift. Once in the door they tell you that you need to recommend
  5 people and get you to post on Facebook before you get the gift.
  This company still lives up to the sleazy vacuum salespeople reputation.
