    I am filing a complaint against Pure Island Air Inc. for ********* business practices related to a vacuum cleaner sale. Responding to a ******** ad for a free air purifier, I was contacted by **** *******, who visited my home. Instead of simply delivering the purifier, she conducted a lengthy vacuum cleaner demonstration, which I felt pressured to purchase. It seemed too good to be true. And it was. The unit left with me was the demo machine, not a new one.

    On [August 27, 2024], I emailed **** expressing second thoughts due to the high cost and my potential job loss, and I requested the return policy. Although **** claims she replied, I did not receive her email, as it went to my junk folder. When I followed up on [September 3, 2024], **** informed me I had missed the no-penalty cancellation deadline by one day and was obligated to keep the $4,000 vacuum cleaner.

    Despite my clear intention to cancel within the 10-day period, **** proceeded to register the machine on the final day, locking me into the sale. This was done without proper follow-up, and I believe it was driven by her desire to secure a commission rather than address my concerns.

    I am seeking the return of my payment and cancellation of this transaction. If this matter is not resolved, I will pursue legal action.

    I trust the Better Business Bureau will address this issue promptly.
