    My friends and I stayed here a few weeks ago and had a truly disappointing experience. We arrived on a Thursday evening, and on Friday I noticed a number of large, itchy bites on my arms. The bites appeared to be consistent with something like spiders, rather than bed bugs, so I assumed that it was fine and slept in the same bed the next night, hoping that it was a one-off issue. After the second night, I woke up to discover approx. 20 bites on my body. At this point, we notified management. They said they couldn't relocate us but would issue a partial refund and send someone from maintenance. Throughout the day, one of the bites swelled to such a concerning level (covering most of my arm) that I went urgent care. Then, when we arrived home, we discovered that maintenance had not been sent. That night, I slept on the floor and the bites did not continue. Since we left, I've had no bites or issues. Management later contacted our group and rescinded the refund offer, stating that they could not locate the bugs, and accused us of breaking a TV that was damaged upon our arrival. As a guest and a customer who had an extremely uncomfortable experience, this sort of behavior from management was deeply upsetting. We were not lying about the bites to get a refund; our stay was fine otherwise, and we had already paid. Being unable to find bugs without formal extermination services is also not at all surprising, and they essentially dismissed a problem that I expect other guests will now be forced to experience. To me, it's unacceptable to treat guests this way, and I can only imagine that - had the person we spoke with been in the same position - they too would have wanted some form of compensation for this issue. I wouldn't be taking the time to write this review had there not been a serious, unsanitary, and uncomfortable issue during our stay. I sincerely hope that management takes this and other complaints seriously in the future to ensure guests' comfort and safety.

    Dear *******/***** Party,We are very sorry this bite situation happened to a member of your party who stayed in one of the Vacation Rentals we manage. We facilitate over ****** reservations each winter. We take pest situations very seriously as they are not normal to happen here in ***************** & especially in the units we manage. We did send staff to the unit the evening it was reported, and our staff found nothing but did replace the bed linens in the bedroom involved. The unit has been inspected by many staff members/managers trained in what to look for and we could not verify any such activity. Please know that nobody thinks the bites are made up, but nothing can be tied to bugs, or anything related to your lodging with us. This type of situation is a no win for both sides. We cannot own a problem we cannot prove and yet you clearly had some issue that has not been clearly identified. Again, we regret this happened to your party and if it were an issue we could have controlled or prevented, we would have done so immediately as we have proven over the years.Sincerely,Mountain Resorts ***** Services
