Comfort Dental refuses to release my dental records to me. I called or received a call back on the following dates. Aug 10, 2022 10:03 a.m. to ask what the process was to obtain my dental records. I went to the business to complete the dental records request form. I was told it would take a couple hours. Aug 10, 2022 2:45 p.m. call to let them know I still had not received an email. Aug 10, 2022 4:21 p.m. call back from their office saying email would be sent. Aug 10, 2022 4:47 p.m. call to advise I got the X-rays but not my complete records. I was told another email would be sent with them. Aug 12, 2022 8:25 a.m. I called because I still hadn't received all my dental records. I was told I couldn't get my dental records because Dr. L**** was on vacation. I was very upset, I raised my voice as well, because I had been trying for days to get my dental records. I asked what date he would return; I was told in seven days. I asked for a specific date because I wanted to get my dental records asap and then lady hung up the phone on me. Aug 10, 2022 4:25 p.m. I received an email with my X-rays. Aug 25, 2022 3:55 p.m. call to give Dr. L**** a message that I was going to file a complaint with the BBB. I spoke with several different staff members, and it wasn't until the Aug 12, 2022 8:25 a.m. phone call that I was told I couldn't receive them, even though I had received the email with the X-rays. I was told it was a state law in order to receive them, the dentist needed to authorize it. None of the other four or five staff members told me that previously. I simply would like my complete dental records from Comfort Dental.
