Two Day Painting was hired to paint our backyard balcony. The balcony had chipping paint which according to them was lead positive. I performed a home lead test kit and the result read no lead paint however I trusted whatever test they wanted to perform. I was never showed an actual test result. During the initial assessment which was performed by an office manager I was assured that the balcony would be repainted with scraping of any loose paint chips. On the first day of the painters showing up at my door I was told that they would not be starting the project and that they were only there to look at the balcony. When I arrived back home I was surprised to find that they were indeed scraping the lead paint and had taped off the entire back entrance. Due to me not being notified of the project starting I was forced to walk through the removal of the lead paint in order to get into my property. This also forced me to figure out another way to manage taking my dogs out. For the next two days the painters continued to show up and continue the project without communicating *********** or estimates of when the job would be completed. They never once even called or rang the doorbell to alert me of their presence. This continued on even after I had requested that they communicate with me. Upon the completion of the project a painter proceeded to pack up materials and get into the work van without alerting me of the completion of the job. I had to flag the worker down to ask if they were indeed done and requested to look at the finished product. I noted that there was dripping paint that had dried and was told by the painter that was already there. There are also many scattered paint drops in our yard that were not cleaned up. I called the office to express my dissatisfaction with the finished project and someone was sent out to review the issues. I was reassured that this was not the kind of work that they do and that the issue of the dripping dried paint and paint drops that were not cleaned up would be remediated. I was also told, without asking It doesnt matter if you live in ********* or in a mansion on the lake, we want to do a good job on every project. It has been a week and I still have not heard from anybody about a follow up visit to complete the job.
