      My appointment was Wednesday morning 11/1/23 at 8am. Gary helped to check my car in at about 715am and was pleasant to speak with and found a courtesy ride home for me. I called the shop around 11am to ask if the car had been looked at yet and it had not. So, I called again about 4pm and it still wasn't looked at per Gary. He would call me Thursday morning with any updates. On Thursday morning at 8am Gary called and said that yes, the car needed to have the control arm repaired. He then tells me that the claim was approved by my warranty company and they would cover 3 days for a car rental. I said that I didn't need a rental unless it was going to take a long time to fix. Gary said let him figure out when he could get parts and he would call me back with a time frame on when It would be fixed. He called me back at 11am and said great news we have the parts and it will be fixed by the end of the day Thursday. I found a ride at 4pm to go get the car assuming that it would be done. Get there and Gary says that they haven't even started it. He had me take a seat in the waiting area while he tried to figure things out. He then came and said "sit tight" they are going to work on it and it'll only take an hour. At 5pm I get a text from that says "we are running into an issue getting yours completed are we able to keep it overnight?" I was sitting in the waiting room! So, I walked up the service counter and another service advisor {Dakota) said that they found nothing wrong with my car and he didn't even know why it was there. That a "Wayne" took it for a ride and didn't feel the clunking that I complained about. Didn't feel it?!? Did he look at it? How exactly did he make that judgment without looking at it? and why did he not consult with the tech who previously told the service advisor that my car had an issue? I Took my car home. 2 weeks later another dealership fixed the car. Bad control arm and ball joint bushing. I want 3 days of my life back.

      Took my 2019 Kia Sorento in to have A-C checked because it was blowing hot air. They found a leak in the condenser and needed a new condenser and told me I had to pay them $1000 to order the part plus $100 more if I wanted next day delivery. I did not pay extra $100 part took a week to come in. They called and set up a time to bring the car in they put the new condenser in and went to pick up the car. The bill was $1563.18 the condenser part 97606-c5600 was $652.00 I checked KIA .OEMPARTSONLINE.COM for the same condenser part 97606-c5600 was $370.37 and checked KIApartsnow.com had the same condenser part 97606-c5600 for $400.48 the dealer said they only use KIA parts these are all the same parts. I think they are marking up there parts and the labor is way out line for what had to be done to do this job and we had KIA warranty that said it wasn"t covered 6/12/23

      Be very careful dealing with the folks at Ewald Kia, particularly Shane and Maureen. I contacted Shane on April 29th about a vehicle I saw for sale online, and expressed my interest in the vehicle and intent to purchase. After confirming over a couple emails back and forth that the vehicle was available, Shane told me the car was in for service prior to being offered for sale...and then ghosted me. I continued to contact him every few days asking about status (getting the "still here, in the shop message"), and after four weeks and eight email exchanges, Shane told me the vehicle was now ready to go. Great, I said, let's go. Next up, Maureen contacted me with a "sorry the vehicle is no longer available", but we have plenty of other vehicles available messages. Disappointing to say the least, but back to my search. Guess what, the same vehicle is now posted online for sale....but at a price that's $4,000 higher than the initial post. No wonder car dealers have such a lousy reputation - but in this case it's been well earned. The old bait and switch is alive in Oconomowoc, think I'll send copies of all correspondence to the WI Attorney General.

      I bought a maintenance package with my vehicle. Last September I requested a refund of that package. Nick the business manager keeps telling me it takes time. It’s been six months. They have my money and won’t return it.

      Do NOT go to Ewald. We took my husband's car in for a misfire on multiple cylinders on 4/16/21. They said that the car needed a tune up, new spark plugs, wires, etc for 1350.00. We agreed. Days later car is still not fixed. We were told that because the car had sat unused for 5 months the gas had gone bad and that it had ruined the fuel injectors, so they needed to be replaced. How can gas go bad over 5 months? Ok...so we agreed to another 900.00. Now two weeks later, we were told that the car has a bad cylinder and needs a new engine. What? The 2000.00 repair did not work. I said we won't pay because you can't fix it, and the car can't even be driven. The service person said they would talk to their service manager to see if we would have to pay. The service manager said that he didn't care that the repairs did not work, we still had to pay the 2000.00 for a car that can't be driven....BUT they were willing to roll that 2000.00 into a loan for a new car?? Are you kidding me?? You bilk us out of 2000.00 and think that we would want to buy a new car from you?? Horrible customer service! We've been **** over by them. They should've told us 10 days ago they didn't know what was wrong with the car or how to fix it and just let us tow it somewhere else. STAY AWAY!"
