I'm sorry to report that this business literally robbed me. I had a cannabis business account with this branch and the officer assigned to handle my account, A.T. ****, failed to call me back for about 4 months. The branch started to charge my account a $500.00 dollar monthly analysis fee before my business was fully licensed. A.T. promised that the $500.00 dollar fee would only kick in once my business was able to operate legally, but not before. They had charged my account a total of $2,500.00 dollars over 5 months. I noticed the miss *** about 3 months in to it, and A.T said he would resolve the miss understanding, but this took about 2 months of back and forth. Eventually they partially resolved the issue when the bank reimbursed my account about $1,250.00. Over the next 4 months A.T. didn't respond to my requests to resolve the rest of the funds in question, didn't return my phone calls and their next communication with me was a letter of account cancellation, but not before charging my account an analysis fees and closing my account with a negative $800.00 balance... Finally a different officer took my call, heard my story, and said... "well... if that's the case and you think we owe you $1,250.00 we'll just cancel this negative fee and call it even even..."They closed my account, charged me $1,250.00, and said.. lets call it even. Fire A.T. Reopen my account ********************** that account $1,250.00 and lets call that even.

They never want you to pay off . Every time I get quoted a payoff and payI get a letter saying I still owe and need to pay three days prior to due date. Paid offper website on 2.1 with due date ****. Get a new bill delivered **** with new balance owed AND need to pay three days ahead..hmmm doesnt seem like the math works. Dont trust them with a loan!

Worst experience EVER! We bought windows from ***************, which was perfect. But we needed to finance the purchase and Salal CU was offered. Having never used them before we went with it - what a mistake. One year later, never missing a payment, we decided to roll that loan into a home equity loan with our own bank and what a disaster! It took us over a week to get it paid with all of their unwritten rules and policiesadditional charges if you make a payment of over $5k, etc. And when they say there is no early payoff penalty, dont believe them. Every time we called, no one could or would help us. So, we finally had to go in to the physical bank location in ******* (thankfully we lived within driving distance), wrote them a personal check to pay off the loan, and because the person didnt know how to process a large payoff, we had to wait for a manager to help us. 45 minutes later, and nickel-and-dimed to death including early payoff charges, and penalties for making a payment of more than $5kwe are Finally rid of the nightmare. To add insult to injury, we needed a payoff confirmation sent to us so we could give to our bank. After a long pause and confused stare, the manager said, Im not sure how to do that, so Ill leave a note for the loan department to take care of next week. SERIOUSLY!! Infuriating at every turn. Just save yourself money and mental anguishDONT USE THEM!

I have banked with salal Credit Union for 5 years and though it is a small banking institution, it provides excellent service.

We have a loan with Salal from December of 2016. We paid our loan on time for 2 years & in Nov of 2018 we had no income for almost 3 months. After 2 months & constant communications, Salal did a charge of with our loan. However, collectively they decided not to send it to collections, because they knew we would pay! So, there is zero communications from them. . In 5 years, we never get statements or bills or anything! We just blindly continue to pay, with no clue what interest is being charged or fees! If it truly is a charge off, should there be fees?
