Dr ******* ********* working out of the ************ Banfield location in **, is a very rude, aggressive, and unprofessional individual. Besides his really bad and ugly communication style, attitude, and customer service, he provided the wrong information about our pet.Avoid at all costs!Review from Levi L

This company and their greed absolutely disgust me. I lost my best friend, my cat, ****** ******* than I expected him to go and Banfield has done absolutely everything they can to make this process as painful and frustrating as possible and I will never forgive them for that, or forget what they've done. This is not about any in-store experience, this is about not being able to cancel the wellness plan. All this experience has taught me is that Banfield does not have any compassion towards the pets in it's care, they're just a trap door scam waiting for vulnerable, desperate people to take advantage of. This company is lower than scum and in all of my years of living this may be the most genuinely evil business practice I've ever seenReview from Saloncia W

Benefit hospital and ********* told me that if I signed up for one membership for my dogs that I will be able to save money now my dogs do not go to the doctor as much and they have been overcharging me for a membership and now theyre trying not to let me out of this membership And I dont use the hospital for my dogs to be paying this amount of money as I asked them to release me, I was declined. I work too hard for my money to be wasted on things that isnt being used for I would like for someone to step up and help me with this .Review from Conrad S

I have called the Banfield mainline multiple times with no success to get in touch with a supervisor. I signed an agreement for a puppy plan that started August 15, 2023. My Pet was supposed to receive her final comprehensive exam or what they called through voicemail proof, graduation exam. They called me August 13, 2024 for this exam. Because they didnt have any availability that day, they scheduled the next exam for September 11, 2024. Unbeknownst to me, I was automatically put on a new plan with no agreement nor authorization. So her graduation exam was turned into an initial exam for a new plan without me knowing until I called Banfield the next day to make sure I wasnt charged for my next visit. So the September 11, 2024 visit, they are telling me Im responsible for. This is misleading, unfair and a wrongful act by this company and nobody is giving me any answers as to why I wasnt notified that my last visit would be under a new plan that I did not agree to. I am currently unhappy with how business is being done and how I am being treated as a faithful customer after the business I have provided.Review from Kathryn K

We trusted Banfield to care for our 3.5-year-old Weimaraner. He was neutered here, and though the surgery seemed fine, it was odd no one checked his stitches in person. He healed, but this should've been a red flag. Later, he developed a cough, and they assumed it was ****** cough without examining him, prescribing several meds. We werent allowed inside, citing contagion concerns.Even during follow-ups, they pushed for tests and more meds without physically examining him. When we finally went in, they pressed for expensive treatments that worsened his condition, leading him to vomit blood. Despite our concerns, they ignored us. A vet claimed x-rays were normal, though the portal labeled them abnormal, dismissing it as a misclick.Days later, with no improvement, we went to an emergency hospital, where we learned our dog had congestive heart failure. He passed that night. Throughout this, we never saw the same vet, and his care felt disjointed, as if no one was paying attention. After losing him, we're still forced to pay off the wellness plan contract, with no vet offering condolences or an apology.Review from Tyler S

My dog died on April 6, 2024. When I picked up the ashes from Banfield, they said they would take care of closing out her file with them. I noticed today that they have continued taking monthly fees from me since her death 6 months ago. *** spent 2 hours on the phone with their Care team and they refuse to correct the issue. I see enough similar experiences to understand this is a business strategy (fraud towards people in a time of grief). Then their call **** are coached to block any resolutions. This is outright fraud to knowingly charge owners after they are aware a person's pet has died and they arent providing a good/service any longer. I know they are aware shes dead, because they gave me her ashes and immediately removed her from my account online and app. Off to small claims court to waste more of my time and money just for the principle of the matter.Review from Todd W

The staff is nice, so 2 stars. This place is a ripoff - their pet insurance gets you nothing. Recently our cat hurt his leg and they asked for $500 for an x-ray plus "estimated" another $500 to clean and splint the injury. Insane prices. Don't waste your time. Find a local, independent veterinarian.Banfield Pet Hospital Response

I have used them since my pet ***** was 3 months old At first I thought they were ok because they would let me know when her shots were due etc.In June I took her for her annual exam and they said everything was fine. I knew something was wrong or unusual with her breathing so e took her to another vet and in the first 2 minutes he told me he detected a heart murmur and put her on 2 medications. I was furious with Banfield. Had this been detected earlier she would have had an opportunity for A longer life when put on the medication at that point. She has a valve problem and When I called Banfield and wanted to speak to the vet they said they would have them call me back. To date has been no response. I then tried for several days to cancel their service to no avail. My niece tried online and also tried calling them to no avail. Yesterday I finally got through to a person and always was told it was the wrong **** and would transfer me, well they said they could not cancel because I would have to pay them for and until the end of the year. I told them I had this service on a monthly plan but they still said I had to pay them. I refuse to pay them,This company is a total scam.I'm so upset I want to sue them and will be looking for an attorney to do just that.I want to know about this class action suit, does anyone know who to contact. They have been still charging my account monthly.Banfield Pet Hospital Response

Wellness subscription plan is a scam and Bee Caves location has terrible management, as well as missing medication stock and staffing issues.Basic one does not cover medications, but in order to do anything vet care at all they request your dog be medicated and give a prescription. The ********* location continually miscommunicates and makes excuses to keep me on the wellness plan another month. I've called before to come pick up medications to discover they weren't ready or that employees aren't available once arriving. I set up an appointment for a spay, drop my dog off, and am told 2 hours later that the operation can't happen because of a shortage of meds. Why was this allowed to be scheduled then? What a waste of my time. Nobody checked on this for 3 weeks or called me. I've dropped samples off and had bloodwork done just to also receive no phone calls. Somehow, they always do something that extends your wait time juuuuust enough to wiggle out another subscription payment from you.Banfield Pet Hospital Response

We have been Banfield customers with all three of our dogs over more than 20 years and have always been on the wellness plan with them. Of course, when we got a new puppy almost three years ago, we signed up again. In all that time we have never noticed a problem of any sort. That changed when we asked your manager, *******, for an accommodation for our anxious dog.We took our dog her to be examined and tested in preparation for her dental cleaning procedure. When we scheduled the dental service, we were told to bring her in at 7 am and that she would be there all day. They said they had many surgeries scheduled for that day and that ***** would be waiting because they get all the animals ready before the doctors come in. We explained that ***** is an extremely anxious dog and that we preferred to drop her off at the time the prep for the procedure was to occur in order to limit the time she would experience anxiety. The manager at the time was completely rude and literally told us that we should take our dog to a smaller hospital that did not have as many doctors or seek in-home care for her, that "this is the way we do it here". She refused to allow any accommodation for our anxious pet and actually told us to take our business elsewhere. With so many options to acknowledge and deal with our request, such as bringing her in just before the doctors arrived, prescribing an anxiety relieving medication, or even simply kindly and patiently discussing our concerns in an attempt to deescalate the situation, we were rudely told "this is how we do it here" and for us to take our business elsewhere. When we got back from the original visit, we discovered that the medication provided would expire within the time we were to use it, so this location dispensed partially useless medication.Banfield Pet Hospital Response
