ZERO STARS... Their practices are unprofessional and "Kristen" (office manager) is certainly not a representation of great service. This company was contacted for a repair. I called on a Wednesday only to be told that the first available service date was the following Tuesday. Due to issues with finding a plumber in the area, I agreed to the inconvenient date and asked to be contacted in the event that there was something earlier. Of course, I continued to try to find a company that could perform the repair sooner. The following day I found a plumber and they hopped right on the job. While the plumber was on site, the James Buck Plumber arrived. They came on Thursday rather than the following Tuesday but didn't bother to call me back which was the agreement. Now randomly, I've received a bill for a service call and "Kristen" who claims to be the "Office Manager" and "Owner" who reports to no one is demanding payment of the bill. The charge is an error as the agreed call back to change the date of service wasn't completed. I can appreciate a company especially a plumber arriving earlier than expected...but not without notice AND certainly not charging fees. They don't send confirmation of appointments that notify of cancellation or trip charges. It'd be great if the company had responsible representation to help with issues.

Lateah **** from *** called us (James Buck Plumbing) on May 22, 2024, we informed her that we would get out to the property in ****** ** as soon as we could, if we couldn't get out there on Thursday or Friday then it would be the following Tuesday, due to the holiday. Lateah gave me a "Point of Contact" Nick *****, to call when we were able to get out there. She did Not instruct me to call her, tis why she gave me Nick's number. The very next day, May 23rd, our guy, Duane ******, had some time open up and contacted the "Point of Contact" Nick ***** at 11:29am and told him we could come out then, if he still wanted us to, Nick ***** “The Point of Contact” then told Duane ******, yes, we still want you to come and that he (Nick) would not be there for 15-20 minutes, and Duane told him that was no problem, that he was just leaving the office and it would take him that long to get to *** anyway, then Duane got to the facility location and there was another plumber there, Duane then, called Nick *****, “Point of Contact” back at 11:54am and told him that there was another plumber already onsite, and Nick said he was not aware of any other plumbers that were called to come out, and apologized that someone else had been called in.. Therefore when LaTeah said above "Of course, I continued to try to find a company that could perform the repair sooner. The following day I found a plumber and they hopped right on the job." she did not have the "common courtesy" to notify James Buck Plumbing that she found another plumber. Had she contacted our office OR HER "Point of Contact" Nick *****, and informed us that she got another plumber to go out there, then we would Not have gone and everything would have been fine. The drive to *** in ****** ** is 10 traffic lights, 2 stop signs and 7.2 miles from our office, one way, plus our guys time and the gas to get there. We have been in business since 1976 and have an Impeccable reputation around this area. When we make appointments and cannot get to them on time or not at all, we immediately call the customer, which is the "Professional" thing to do. This is Not what happened with Lateah ****. Lateah **** was very rude and condescending over the phone so much that, I had to politely tell her to "have a nice day" and hang up, then she kept calling back 3 times, like a "Bully" would do. I do not appreciate that one bit, THAT is Very Unprofessional in my book. In closing, our invoice remains due of $75.00 trip charge.
