This company charged me almost $1,000 to replace three toilets in a home I had recently purchased. A few weeks ago I kept hearing water running for brief periods. It took me a while to determine that the toilet in the back part of the house was running. I called a plumber who came and told me the gasket in the tank had a bubble in it that prevented the gasket from seating solidly. He put a new gasket in and no water is running now. I asked this plumber about the shims that Classic Plumbing installed at the base of all the new toilets. He said that should never have been done. I did not understand at the time why the plumber said the toilets needed shims because the floors were uneven...even though the old toilets had been flush with the floor and were not shimmed at all. This new plumber will remove the shims and reinstall the three toilets for me, but at an additional cost of $250 on top of the $945 I paid to Classic Plumbing. I called Classic Plumbing one other occasion to stop a leak in the drainpipe of a pedestal sink. They said the connection to the pipe was stripped and needed to be replaced. They wanted $1,200 to do this and I told them forget it. I would strongly warn customers about hiring this company.

The installation of the toilets was done in January 2022, and because you furnished them, any repairs are your responsibility as you were made aware and agreed upon before the installation began. On February 22, 2023, you called and abruptly stated that you were turning us in to the BBB because we put shims under your toilets and then hung up before we hardly got your name. You have never called us to express your concern over the shims in the last year. You have never called us to say you were unhappy about the shims or ask for an explanation about the shims in the last year. You have never called because the toilets are leaking or rocking or moving in the last year. Basically, you have never given us the opportunity to know you had any concerns or unhappiness about the installation. In addition, the same goes for the pedestal drain. You dropped a dental implant down the pedestal drain. I understand the cost of the repair was not acceptable, but you're leaving the details of the repair out of the conversation which allows for a faulty assumption. After being in business for 43 years, we understand that we cannot make everyone happy and we understand that we make mistakes. All we ask our customers is that they give us the courtesy of making us aware of the concern and give us the opportunity to make it right. We're sorry the information you got from a new plumber has caused you such unhappiness.

Arrived on time, courteous, knowledgeable, patient, detailed, sent reminder, I would recommend and would use them again.
