Our house is a steel framed house which we indicated to Southwest ahead of time. They came prepared accordingly. But, after removing the outer plywood to access the metal studs, they found that the internal metal framing was not consistent requiring additional structural reinforcement to secure the retractable awning. The installer team called in an additional, more experienced installation team to assist with the metal frame inconsistencies and kept us informed of their modified approach and progress with creating a secure structure to mount the retractable awning. Both teams worked for several hours to create a secure mounting structure. Once that was accomplished, the teams quickly installed the retractable awning, and it looks and operates great! We were very impressed with the skill and professionalism of both of Southwest’s installation teams and would not hesitate to recommend Southwest to others!Review from Victoria P

We had Southwest Sunroom & Window Co. install an electric indoor sunshade in our sunroom and an outdoor Sunsetter awning. We are very happy with both of them. Rob, our salesperson, was very courteous and nice to work with, and patient with me. I'm not the easiest person to please sometimes. The only thing I would change is the spacers that were used to bring the indoor shade far enough away from the glass wall to function properly could be a little nicer looking for the price paid. You cannot see them when the shade is down, but when it is up, you can. Other than that, the installation appears to be perfect, and we love them. I would recommend this company and Rob.Review from gary m

We had a comparatively small project- a repair needed (roof panel and fascia trim replacement) on our screened-in patio roof that had been damaged by a fallen tree. Overall, we are quite pleased with the finished result and the workmanship is excellent. They were spot-on punctual, and each representative was courteous, professional, accommodating. The company was forthcoming about the supply-line delay issues (we waited about 15 weeks or so). We also had one communication hiccup similar to Sarah G's. Ours lasted about two weeks before we heard back from our rep. After that, as in Sarah's case, a crew was scheduled for the next day and the job was completed as described. Given the similarities, ee can't help but theorize that scheduling smaller, less lucrative jobs may take a back seat to larger projects. In fairness, it was difficult for us to find a company that would take this comparatively small repair job. We feel fortunate and are thankful that this company took on a project that was likely much less lucrative for them than a full patio install. As said, the finished repair left it as good, if not better, than before the accident. Having said that, good communication with large and small customers, regardless of profit margin, is a cornerstone to building trust and good will. We're generally pretty patient and forgiving to an extent, but seeing that it has been mentioned, we hope management may want to take a closer look to avoid alienating customers. It's frustrating, not very professional and inconsistent with other aspects of their operation which are excellent.Review from Marilyn P

I hired this local company to replace two windows based on their reputation for customer service. The contracted lead time was 18-22 weeks depending on "weather and vendors". I paid half the amount of the job at the time I signed the contract. The job was VERY delayed (40 weeks) reportedly due to supply line shortages, but after months of not hearing from them I started calling for updates. I called every week for a month without anyone call me back. I finally left a voicemail telling them to cancel the order and refund my money and they called me back to schedule an install for the very next day-- without apologizing or acknowledging that I had been leaving them messages for weeks. After all that time, one of the two windows I ordered came in wrong and had to be remade. It sounds like they have more customers than they have time to communicate with. No apologies. No discounts. Once the corrected window was installed I left another message requesting to talk to management. Instead of a call back I got an overdue notice in my mailbox two days after the final install. When I finally got a call from management (10 days after install) they were asking what would be a good time to come by my address to collect payment--mentioning nothing of calling to acknowledge or address my concerns. I was told I should be glad that they told me the first window was wrong instead of just leaving it that way without telling me there was a problem. This whole process has been very upsetting and disappointing.Southwest Sunroom & Window Co., Inc. Response

We are very sorry for the situation with Ms. ********. However, as stated on our contracts we are at the mercy of both the weather and the supply chain shortages that vendors are experiencing throughout the country. Due to the specialty shaped window that was ordered the expected lead time of 18 to 22 weeks weather and/or vendor permitting turned into 29 weeks due to vendor issues which were beyond our control. Upon receiving the window we immediately reached out to the homeowner to schedule installation. While installing the windows the installer realized that one of the windows had been manufactured improperly. Rather than cover up the fact we were completely honest with the homeowner and assured her that we would have the window remade correctly, which we did. This meant the window had to be remanufactured which led to the 40 week overall time frame for installing the correct window. Once we received the correct window and made sure it was 100% we reached out to the homeowner and made arrangements for the installation. We installed the correct window on July 3rd, 2023 and as of August 2nd, 2023 this matter has been resolved. Our apologies to Ms. ******** for the inconvenience but we are sure she will be happy to know that we did the right thing by reordering the window.Review from Rosemary B

I cannot say enough about the service I received from this company. From start to finish - ordering the perfect awning with the exceptional knowledge and assistance of Teresa, receiving timely updates from Todd, and having the awning installed by Robert and Jeremiah. Everyone I encountered with this company was professional, courteous and friendly. Robert and Jeremiah were two of the nicest gentlemen I have ever met and they made it clear that my total satisfaction was their goal. Couldn't be happier! Highly recommend!Review from Russell H

The office called at 8:40am this morning and said they were unloading our SunSetter Awning from the truck and would we be interested in having it installed today. Robert and Jeremiah arrived in less than an hour. The job was completed before 3pm and it looks beautiful. Everyone we dealt with was very professional, from salespeople to installers to office personnel. We highly recommend this company for quality work.Review from William C

We had the awning fabric replaced on our thirteen-year-old Sunsetter awning. The saleswoman was extremely helpful and knowlegeable about all the fabric choices available. The fabric arrived in the timeframe she gave us. The installers were efficient and explained everything we needed to know about the awning. We are delighted with our new awning and with all the people at the company who helped us.Southwest Sunroom & Window Co., Inc. Response
