When I received my Hoveround, the sales person is very courteous and showed me how to use it but since then I’m having trouble getting through my doorways opening up my door to just get through it and then I cannot open the door to go out of my building while sitting in the Hoveround I like to send it back but have to box it and ship it on my own which is too expensive and hard to do. Also, the Hover Round is not easy to transport, so not able to take it when I go to doctor appointments or just to go out, so these are downfalls for me I don’t know if it’s my fault or I just didn’t think this through but I’m not happy with my purchase I am on my own, so I have to rely just on myself to use this chair so it is not the most convenient for meReview from Vickie S

I am submitting this complaint to express my profound dissatisfaction with **********'s customer service. My experience has been severely impacted by their inadequate support and apparent disregard for customer satisfaction, particularly concerning a power wheelchair I was compelled to purchase through them due to my insurance company's stipulations.Upon discovering that essential bolts for the wheelchair's control arm were missing, I encountered a series of customer service failures from Hoverround. Despite multiple attempts to rectify this issue, I was met with unresponsiveness, misinformation, and a clear lack of initiative to resolve a critical problem. This negligence has not only inconvenienced me but also compromised my mobility and daily quality of life, as the wheelchair is indispensable within my home.Hoverround's failure to stand by a product they sell, demonstrated by their unwillingness to provide necessary parts or meaningful assistance, compelled me to seek resolution directly from Golden Technologies, the manufacturer. However, my primary grievance lies with Hoverround's customer service, which has shown a consistent pattern of inadequacy and indifference towards customers' needs and issues.This complaint underscores Hoverround's dire need for a substantial overhaul in their customer service practices. It is unacceptable for a company, especially one providing essential mobility aids, to exhibit such a disregard for their responsibility to support and satisfy their customers. Had my Hoveround for 2 years and had major breakdowns 2 times now. Been without my wheelchair for almost a month now again, have had to push them thru each step to get the repair made and am stoll waiting. I am shocked at their complete customer service, very rude and no compassion at all. They absolutely don't care, told they have hundreds of calls for repair every day and would not let me speak to a supervisor or anyone else that might be able to help me escalate this. I cannot even stand or walk and I can't push myself in a manual chair because I am so crippled. But they tell me everyone's the same way. I am so sorry that I bought a Hoveround. The quality is not there at all and the service if you need help almost don't exist. They have screwed this up since my first call on October the 4th and I found out today they still have not submitted it to the insurance company to cover my repairs. BJRReview from Tonya S

They are very unorganized I have been trying to get my mothers chair fixed for over 2 months. Every time I call Im told its a process. One tells me something another tells me something else.Review from Matt P

Because my mother was an existing customer of ********************* with the chair design and functionality, I elected to purchase a replacement chair for her in cash (ie, not insurance). The instructions were very clearreplicate the equipment on the existing chair on the new one. That did not happen. The chair was delivered on 8/10. She has been unable to use it since. Additionally, despite numerous phone calls to Hoverround, no one has ever called me back. They just input my call into one of their several database systems that do not talk to each other. I was told it would cost another $1000 to get the chair in correct state. This company should be investigated for fraudulent practices, specifically wrongful deception of the handicapped resulting in their financial gain.Review from Linda G

For years I’ve had a Hoveround power chair. It’s dependable & comfortable. On April 13 th I phoned hoveround regarding my bent axil. I jumped through the hoops that were expected of me - Drs appointment, to obtain the correct wording for the approval needed on the paperwork. This was on the 21st of April which I was told by hoveround not to use my chair because if the axial broke I’d be traveling in a circle. But I had to get the correct paperwork from Dr Sarah C she concurred regarding the noise & angle of the wheel. No one showed up to fix my chair! Multiple phone calls then more than a month later I was informed the motors and wheels were to be sent to my home -then a service person from SR would be contacted to come out & repaired my chair. Well, May 2nd the parts arrived at my home address. June 9th 2 men came to my home to fix my chair they replaced my axils & wheels. Then they knew this was the only problem but after the application of the parts there was NO ability to get the joy stick to move in the direction it was to maneuver. This was never the problem!!! The service man was on hold for 91 minutes.Frustrated that they could not get help from hoveround- these men left leaving me with NO ability to maneuver my chair. My husband had to manually push my chair up 20 steep feet back into my home. Again multiple phone calls with no avail! On June 14 th another service order for a new joystick was delivered! On July 3rd Jonny from SR contractors showed up to put on a new joystick! Which DID NOT FIX MY WHEELCHAIR Now I’m SOL why can I not get this crap resolved If I was Medicare I would invest this problem & take actionReview from Carla A

I purchased a ramp on April 14, 2023 and to date I have not received it. I called and asked for a refund and was told it would take up to 30 days before the funds would be back on my card. I am disabled and have to wait to receive my money back before I can go elsewhere to purchase a ramp. This is unacceptable for disabled people.Review from Janice B

Paid off in September. Promised several "Paid in Full" receipts. "In the mail tomorrow" Sure it will. Still waiting for the one promised about a month ago. But they sure know my address. Got "Buy a car attachment" in the mail today. I would never in good faith recommend this company just for their lack of service. I'm 71, not in great health, and one day my son will either sell it, or trash it, because I have nothing showing it's paid off.Review from Steve N

Do not buy a hove around !!! The service is terrible it took the 7 day to confirm that I had insurance!!! They have taken 3 weeks to get battery. My insurance ok the battery in one day !!! My dr ** the battery in one day !!!! They have no idea how to process a claim!!!! One person tell me I can ship the battery the next person says they have to install them . Not one person there has any idea what going on there . Ill never get a chair there again!!!! They got the big money for the chair and they dont ***e about you one bit . This is been a 3 week process and still dont have anything not even a tracking number!!! I payed for them 4 day ago and to body processed the the payment to ship to my address. Thats another 4 day with out a wheelchair. I had to do a three way call with united heath *** a hove round because the service was so bad .and they still messed up my order!!! Hover round is a very uncaring company .. they sent me replacement batteries and told me I would need to install them. I have no clue how to install these.. so my mom is stranded since the wheelchair are her legs.. I would not recommend this company .. one year and still nothing .. never again with hover round Im taking my business else where
