Bugs in my bed are not for me. Management that ignores the bugs is very disappointing, I have stayed at this property over the years with no issues. This particular time I booked through United and was considered booked through a 3rd party status and treated exactly that way. When we checked in we were assigned a low floor room with 2 queen beds. When I asked for a higher floor with 1 king bed I was told it was booked through a 3 rd party and they could not help me. The big issue is on day 3 when we arrived back in our room and were preparing to go to bed. I looked in my bed and there appeared to be black dirt. When I went to wipe the dirt away the bugs started running . I immediately called the front desk and asked for a room change. The room change was granted but kept me on the same floor since it was booked through a 3rd party. I asked that they check out the room since there were people staying on that floor. The woman who moved me indicated they could be no see mes but I saw them. The next morning I went passed the old room (409) and the door remained a jarred like we left it. I went in to check if the bugs were still there and they were. No one bothered to address the bug issue. I went to the front desk and the manager (Kim) on duty said that she can only refund my resort fees . She said to get the room refunded that I would have to go to my 3rd party provider which I did. When United sent a request to the hotel they denied the request even though I was told it would be refunded. I asked why the room (409) had not been checked and she said that they will contact a 3 rd party exterminator and take care of it during the week. She also told me they have never had bugs which is quite contrary to what I was told the night before. The most upsetting fact is that they had pictures of the bugs that I provided and allowed the problem to exist while other guests remained on that floor.
