I purchased PGT windows in 2013 from *******`s windows in *************. His account is listed as active but calls go unanswered. The windows have developed copper spots and opaque splotches which are multiplying. I called PGT customer service and was advised that this was a manufacturing defect and would be replaced by a company they recommended however I would have to pay for the installation in the amount of $1800.00. I initially paid for installation and now am told I will have to pay installation costs again that are due to their manufacturing defect. I am so disappointed as I believed PGT was a quality company that would take responsibility for the apparently poor quality of their product. Buyer Beware.Is there any recourse for me. I am retired and live in a retirement community.Thank you for your time and attention to this matter **********

On 10/12/23 Home depot and rep from PGT came to my house it was rain and dark out. After reviewing the issues PGT rep told me that he was only going to replace 2-out of the 4-family room slides and 1-out of the 4-living Slides. After Home Depot had told me they would be replacing all of them. They have tried 5-times but the ones they sent were worse than the ones I already have. PGT rep said he could see the substance in the middle of the glass panels but wasn’t going replace them when the sun is shine in there lot more noticeable. All the plastic handles on the screens are breaking off PGT rep told me that just the way they are and said that problem is above his pay grade. This unacceptable Home already has been paid in full. PGT rep also told me that someone from quality control would be reaching out to me from PGT. It’s been crickets. This is not the customer service I expect from Home Depot. I would have thought someone from their Senior management team would have reached out to me by now.

I do not give this company any stars but it makes you select one. It’s been a year trying to get my windows fixed. Always missing windows, wrong size, wrong window. Took 9 months to replace a stress cracked window which happened the day after install. I have damaged vinyl that can’t be fixed and don’t know what to do about that. Company repo says that’s a big deal…. I have circles show up on the windows when they are wet with dew…was told that would go away. Not yet! I feel sorry for the technicians trying to fix something for a company that has terrible quality control. They are Just interested in quantity. Shame on you corporations just interested in profit and not consumers.

I ordered PGT Windows from Weather Tite. Salesman gave unrealistic timeline, now it has been almost a year and I am still waiting for the job to be finished and shoddy installation to be corrected. Weather Tite blames PGT. I think both are to blame.

They installed a 6500.00 slider in backwards and a kitchen window does not lock. Tasha the store manager is a joke and could care less. ***** IS NOW MY GO 2 STORE.

Horrible customer service. After waiting a year to get my windows installed, 2 very large windows were damaged. Had to call to get a timeline of when they would be delivered. Had to call another time to check in on why no one called me for install after they were suppose to be delivered. They have been at the warehouse nearly 10 days but "never checked in". I was told "the warehouse is very large and things get missed". So Jen from the service department is having to call the warehouse in hopes someone can actually find my windows (again these are very large picture windows, would certainly be hard to miss) before anyone would call to schedule an install. Do NOT use PGT. The attitude of service staff and problems I have had with my windows is not appropriate. Any other window company would be better. Buyer beware!

We had impact windows and French door installed though Home Depot in 2017. Since 2017 they already replaced the French door 5 time and we still have the same issue, water is leaking through the door into the walls. It is not an installment issue, during this time the door has been replaced by different companies working along with Home Depot. The doors PGT are making are defective. This is became more of an issues over the years, we are getting mold inside the wall due to this problem. Not only they are selling defective product but this is now a health hazard, in my case. Not to mentioned the windows!

I am wondering why we continue to wait after 5 months for replacement sliders that were defective when installed? They were ordered on 2/17/21, installed on 8/19/21, inspected 8/31/21. The same day they were inspected we put in a claim as all the sliders were defective. The PGT Field Service Technician came out and confirmed that all six sliders were defective and replacements would be received with two weeks. Six months later, after several repeated calls to the PGT Technician, I have heard so many different reasons as to why we have not received the replacements and that they should be received at any time over and over and over and over again. I was even told two months ago that three of the six sliders were received however the remaining three should be received the following week. Still waiting.

Avoid this company at all costs. Read Google reviews. Customer service is non-existent. I called approximately 1 year after installation due to spring clips on screens. At this point, it was only one. Service rep said they would mail a couple to me. Never received. Called again in 2018 (3 years after installation) to report that, now, all screen clips were rusted. No problem, someone would return my call. No call, filled out form on PGT's website, no response. Due to medical diagnosis, treatments and surgery, I forgot until a friend volunteered to wash my windows. They were amazed that all of the clips were rusted. Again, I called 2 weeks ago. I was referred to a company in Fort Myers. PGT rep stated the clips cannot be replaced, the entire screens need to be replaced at an estimated (over the phone) cost of $600. So, the clips could be replaced, for free under warranty during my first phone calls, however, those same clips, same screens now have to be completely replaced. Pretty good scam going on there. I wish I could post pictures. PGT is giving a false sense of security to customers with their warranties and employees giving false information, out and out lying. All of the problems reported in reviews scream class action suit.

Do not buy these windows. After 10 years, all of our PGT windows have failed. The glass is foggy and the seal between the panes has blown out and is now between the two panes. I spoke with customer service and they said there is nothing they will do. Every window in a house should not fail after 10 years. They do not stand by their product.
