I visited the spa with a pre paid package. I was told I could upgrade to an anti aging facial. I was given little specifics as to what the facial entailed but was told I could purchase a "March Madness" special. I asked several times for the purchase price. The owner, Michelle, who told me she has 3 "Silent Partners", provided the facial service and took my credit card for the additional cost. She did not provide the cost u til she took my credit card to run it. The cost was $5500. I allowed her to run my card a perform a first facial of a package. When I got home, I researched the type of facial which is a Microcurrent facial. There is some controversy as to the efficacy and there is a complaint with the FDA that a home microcurrent facial product caused an enlarged thyroid. I have auto immune thyroiditis do not want to continue with the facials. There is also information online that the microcurrent can cause headaches, fatigue lasting up to 24 hours. None of that was explained to me prior to me signing paperwork. I was not given a copy of the paperwork, which the owner suggests contains language around no refunds. I asked for a refund and was given no straight answers. Of note, the owner answered the phone and pretended it wasn't her, pretended she did not remember me, even though I was at her spa for 7 hours and we spoke severe times in addition to her doing my facial.

I booked a very expensive package for the day 572 was the total. For this price, there are certain expectations, especially cleanliness. I quickly changed my mind as the sandals they expected me to wear were sandy and not clean, these sandals were in the pockets in a robe they wanted me to wear. The robe was worn and looked old. In my opinion this is absolutely disgusting, I have no idea if the person before me had fungus or something else on their feet. I expected at least clean sandals and a clean robe. I was completely put off; how do you expect me to relax in dirty sandals and an old worn robe. I did not feel comfortable at all, I do not want fungus or something else. I got the impression nothing in this spa can be trusted to be clean. The coordinator/manager dropped a clipboard on me which hurt and was rude. The robes were black (aren't they supposed to be white so they can be bleached and properly cleaned?) and faded with many washes, "owner" stated they were new, they were not new, I looked online and the same robes are posted 2013, this is 2022. The coordinator/manager as he stated his title was stated I would be refunded; I wanted a refund receipt. I requested a refund receipt, but the "coordinator/manager" was rude told me to leave and refused to give me a refund receipt. He stated I would be refunded. I was there 10 minutes total. Then the "owner" called me and tried to talk me into a gift certificate which I had no interest and told her so, I told her I just wanted a refund. I had lost all trust in this business and was not interested in anything other than receiving a refund for services not rendered and moving on. She misrepresented the service received as previously before I booked this appointment, she stated they were compliant with health codes for cleanliness. She told me that she would not refund the cost. No service was received. Not professional or the right thing to do. Bad customer service.

This client initially insisted the therapist all wear masks and then showed up herself with no mask and she arrived 15 to 20 minutes late.

The spa coordinator began to go over her day with her and she started to ask very odd questions with a very condescending attitude. Such as "who makes the mayo and mustard, who makes the turkey meat, where is it from"?

When this client initially called to book her appointment, I was a very apprehensive about booking her because she asked similar strange questions from the very beginning.

I advised her that her package of choice included a complementary lunch which included a hormone free turkey wrap, organic whole grain chips and fresh cut fruit. She asked me where the meat came from. I was perplexed as never has anyone ever asked that type of question. I replied to her by asking "what do you mean, what brand"? She said "no, where does it come from". I said Publix. She again replied "NO, where is it from"? I advised her it was a Boars Head Brand. She said," well I guess that's ok".

Then she asked me what type of cleaning solution is used in the pedicure room. Right down to the brand names and the entire procedure which I explained in full detail. Then she insisted we all must wear a mask for her. I reassured her we will all wear masks for her.

Bella Michelle Day Spa standards are 100% infraction free from the Florida Department of Health (who routinely inspects).

The robes are in fact brand new and are from the same company we have purchased for years, some in black, for privacy concerns and the slippers are rubber and are black as well and also new. The disinfectant used on the slippers is made especially for the sanitation and sterilization of the slippers, they are sprayed down after each use, washed then sprayed again. The robes are cleaned with bleach for colors. We have an onsite washer and dryer, and everything is washed on a daily basis.

We do not have sand in the spa, and we are not in walking distance to any beach.

When the client told the spa coordinator there was sand in the slipper, he apologized and went to go get her a new robe and slippers' Upon his return the client said," I am not doing this I am leaving".

The Spa had booked out 4 to 5 hours for this client, had fresh lunch for her, made fresh Giardelli dipped strawberries, and purchased the complimentary champagne. Staff was scheduled for her services and other work was turned away in her place.

The Spa does not double book. This time scheduled for her was dedicated to her and her alone. She chose to leave.
The client was very rude and demanding from the start. We attempted to accommodate her in every way possible but clearly there was no pleasing this client.

I did wear a mask, I was on time, not late. I did initially forget my mask but grabbed one from my car after I initially arrived. I did not feel comfortable returning. The manager staff was rude and this business is not client friendly. They told me the opening was available as someone else had cancelled so it's not like the staff was not available. The business is not professional which I do not have to say much else except look at the unprofessional reply above. I would not go back there and I would not recommend them to anyone. This place is not at all what I envisioned for a relaxing time. I did not want to stay as they misrepresented themselves.
