I would give this company ZERO stars if i could. The owner ******************* should be ashamed of himself.I utilized this company to help collect with some of my delinquent clients for almost 2 years and everything was great until I cancelled a collection partly through as a good faith effort with one of my long-time clients. Goldman Evans charged me for the full amount even though I requested to end the service. I never signed anything nor was i made aware of any arrangement that stated i was responsible for the full account balance. I did pay for the 3 invoices that were collected prior to cancellation - however when I called to speak with **** about getting a refund on the fees they billed me for on a balance that was never collected - he immediately began berating, yelling, and insulting me. He would not allow me to speak and became angrier every minute longer we remained on the call. I am completely shocked that an owner of a company would treat a long time customer like this. I am part of a franchise network and have already spread the award with all owners to NOT use this firm.

This law firm is terrible and breaks all laws regarding debt collection.
They are rude, threatening and shouldn't be in this business. I was told that they were going to get me fired from my job for not paying on time, told me to pay my **** bills, screamed at me.
Never in a million years should a law firm act like this.
Am contacting the Attorney Generals Office to file a complaint.

Goldman, Evans & Trammell, LLC Response

      05/02/2022

      A) Goldman Evans & Trammell is not a law firm. We are a commercial collection agency. B) Ms ***** is NOT our customer and, as such, has zero standing to comment on our business practices. C) Several people overheard the conversation, myself included, and the gentleman she was speaking with neither raised his voice or used profanity. If she persists in perpetuating what we consider to be potentially libelous allegations, we will strongly consider pursuing all of our legal options. She should govern herself accordingly. As she has already outlined what caused our office to interact with her in the first place, I feel her position speaks for itself.

In fact, the gentelman did raise his voice, used profanity, hung up on me and also told me that I was personally responsible for the debt and that I signed the form. When I explained that I did not, he again yelled at me and told me that I did. He then stated he was going to call my job and let them know that I owed money and was going to get me fired.
This is all on a recorded line....
I called the company that hired them and she was appalled at their interaction with me and provided the personal responsibility letter that is not signed by me at all....hence they stated I was and that was why they were calling my employer.
Please if they feel that they need to contact an attorney...please do - as I am in the law field, my uncle is an attorney and so are several of my relatives and friends.
As one can see...they do not follow the fair credit collection practices:
"Debt collectors cannot harass or abuse you. They cannot swear, threaten to illegally harm you or your property, threaten you with illegal actions, or falsely threaten you with actions they do not intend to take. They also cannot make repeated calls over a short period to annoy or harass you."
As stated previously, I have already written to the attorney general and provided all information to them.
